How many eps does it take to glue or scare you off?

haha, i usually watch the first episode and decide, if the show has potential then i continue, but if it completely suck then i leave

I've yet to come across one that put me off immediately. Usually I'll make it thru the movie or series and if I don't like then well I'll never watch it again. Some just by reading the summary and I know I'll be hooked and as of yet I haven't been wrong. Cool

i read the summaries but i dont really trust them since there only going to be advertising the series by mentioning the best parts. when i watch an anime if i like it i will continue watching it. if not i generally give it about 3-4 episodes for improvements.

I usually watch 3 or 4 episodes before im either hooked or not. I can't believe i watched like 14 eps of Melody of Oblivion. But i was hooked on the first ep of FMP

just one episode for me but if the manga or reviews is good then i will continue to watch untill i get hooked or give up, usually 3 to 4 or in case of bleach, 14 and it still cant interest me, sooo slow makes me sleepy.

Jinki:Extend-Reused and generic SFX. This can die too
FLCL-It doesn't even make any sense, whoever herald's this as a great and awesome anime can watch Excel Saga instead.

If it's good, I'll be hooked on by the 1st eps. If it's average, I'll need about 10 to convince me... But if it goes on to more then 70... I'll run away. Cos I've short attention span. However, if it's like Azumaga Daioh, with no fixed storyline, I don't mind sticking on... Heh..

I usually give things untill the fourth episode till i give up on it. That's just to make sure that it isn't having a slow start.

i'd say 3..but if it seem like it gots a chance then i'll give it to more episodes. if it still doesn't hook me then no point in continuing.

I would usually know if i would be watching the anime on my first watch...
If they come with a good recommendation and i still find that it sux, i will let myself watch 5 more episodes before i give up on the show.

Depends. If the animation looks good, ill try 3-4 episodes. If the animation is crappy then 1-3.

This really depends on the anime (genre, overall story, art, etc.). Some anime I'll get into right away (such as FMA). Other anime I'll ease into (Samurai Champloo). There have been a couple I stopped watching after one episode (Paranoid Agent being one).
