How many eps does it take to glue or scare you off?

I normally judge an anime by the first five episodes if it doesnt catch my attention by then screw it.

I'll generally watch up to 10 episodes hoping for it to get good. There are many animes where it paid off too =). But if it doesn't even get semi interesting by that point, I pretty much give up.

I guess it only takes me one episode since I'm not really exposed to much anime. Also, since I don't mind watching anything on tv, it would have to be really bad for me to not continue watching a series.

I'll watch the first 3 eps and make up my mind, but even If i find it boring/annoying, I'll continue until halfway through the series (unless its truly annoying/boring me to death ^^")

2 eps for me, first ep is understandable if its not that good, afterwoulds its no excuse

I think one episode is enough for me to decide if it is worth going on or not...
The first episode should be the most interesting as its part is to attract the viewer to the character and the story. Smile

i usualy make up my mind realy early into the first episode but still watch a few more just 2 c if i was rite and usualy i am but even tho i might not like or even hate the anime i still finish it just for the hell of it

I usually let the first episode be the determining factor, however there are few times where I'll watch the second episode but if it still sucks than i drop it and don't pick it up again.

well i thougt two r enough, but lately i saw GANTZ, the two first epis, and i found it horrible. but now i read the manga and i think i´ll watch the anime till the end. that´s y i need more than two i think.

It generally takes me about two episodes before i can tell if its good or not. By the second episode, I can tell if its good, bad, or something I should watch more of.

I find I develop a preference for the anime in 3-5 episodes, but that I'm willing to give it more time if a friend has recommended it. I never did like Rozen Maiden, for instance, but I did appreciate the character development. And the friend who recommended that, got me hooked on Bleach. So I'm willing to listen.
