How many eps does it take to glue or scare you off?

well first i check how people have rated it then ill watch it and by the 2nd or 3rd episode i usually know if its going to be good or not

Mostly in first 3 episodes you can understand how is it.

I'm the same as most people here. If I read a synopsis (story) and like the screenshots (art style), then I'll watch at least the first three episodes. Usually the first 2 episodes of a series introduce the main characters and explain the setting, then the 3rd episode is where you can tell where the story is going to go from there.

if it's from a franchise that i personally love, i'll watch the entire length of all the given episodes, then give an opinion about it. any others, it would be the pilot episode

Well, the first thing I look for is if the artwork is good or if I like it and then I watch. It usually only takes one or two episodes to get me hooked or "scare me away." Special cases are if I really want to see the series I watch at least 5 to see if it will get better. Sometimes animes don't get going until the 5th or 6th episode, or somewhere around there. Smile

This is really tough in my case since i am storyline focused. It may b just 1ep (for me that was Gundam SEED ep1, i was curious about Kira/Athrun's relationship as friends) or 10 since some anime story dont show out until all the proper intro and such. It takes great skill for producers to make an enticing 1st ep and as far asa i know most anime 1st ep r make r break for the viewer unless some1 recommend it to him/her and given a short outline to raise an interest first.

first 4 eps. its got a chance to prove itself. i take reccomendations but if it dont impress me in 4 eps i drop it.

If I hear a lot of good things about it, and a lot of my friends like it, then I'll hang on until it gets good. :9
(and if it doesn't get good by the 5th or so episode, I'll ditch it ^u^)

It depends. Sometimes, if it's really great, it'll have me by the first episode. Other times, it'll take me about 7 of the traditional 'only thing on right now so I'll watch it' episodes before I realize how awesome it is.

im willing to try anything. ill watch the whole thing and if i like it ill watch it again. i get caught up wanting to know what happens next regardlessof how bad it may be. there are some though that will immediately make me stop watching. it all depends i guess..... im not making any sense am i? ........-_-;

I just watch as much as I have time for. I often have more free time to watch anime than it takes to download it that I just watch whatever unless its really bad and I can usually tell in 4 episodes.
