Posted: Fri May 06, 2005 9:19 am Post subject: Azureus Update killed my down/upload speed
i use azureus for bt and i just updated it a few days ago. before the update, my down/upload speeds are around 30-200k/sec, but after the update, it drops down to 1-2k/sec. this shouldn't be caused by a lack of seeds and peers because the speeds before the update were high and my friend downloading the same bt files still have a high speed. When i double click a bt and look at the peers tab, all the of their status are either pending or connecting, while before it is connection established. The health icons are flashing from red to green or blue or yellow. When i do the "NAT/Firewall Test" in the Tools menu, it says "Testing port 6881 ... NAT Error". I've tried reinstalling it again and it's still the same. I have checked that all of my firewalls are off and even disabled norton.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? thx
PS: my internet connection is a 6M public broadband and i live in hong kong (company is netvigator if anyone is from hong kong). os is xp
Have you tried updating you're java client? I had a similar problem:
(a NAT error that made no sense since my computer was outside of the NAT)
but it resolved itself when I installed the latest version of java...
