Don't worry, judging how bad the anime has become, the following pics might sooth the soul instead...
What Chrno Crusade could have been.

bahahah
mangas always have wat animes "could of been"
i still dont understand y everybody keeps compariring mangas to tv anime series. its more obvious that mangas have more freedom and most (if not all) manga turns out MUCH better than the tv series. _________________

Because it provides a reliable comparison of what it could have been. Mostly it is the same material presented on different media. Having the same content presented on the two media would give slight differences over how it would have been liked. However adaptations can slaughter the concept and in the case of Chrno Crusade, it did a good job of killing the show. Here I am criticising the adaptation, not whether manga or anime is better.
A static panel display (manga) is a compromise of presentation between text (book) and moving images (television/movies). Text demands a lot of interpretation & imagination from the audience. Generally if you can recreate the scenes in your head, storybooks will tend to be the best presentors of materials. Static panel displays helps to visualise while cutting back on textual information. Hence while letting the audience dumb down a bit, they still demands a bit of imagination on the audience to recreate the in-between panels. Moving images almost totally dumb down the audience since generally materials are presented totally as moving visual splendor and piled on to the viewers.
So they are just different presentation method and does not gaurantee whether the manga or anime will turn out better for the same content.
Chrno Crusade's content has been way too altered to be enjoyable. |

In that case im glad i didn't read the manga. I guess that's the reason why i have no real problems with the show. It's pretty interesting so i have no regrets. Is it the best? No, but it's a decent watch(At least to me it is). The plot is sort of missing though. I mean, what are the demons really trying to do? We still don't know what Joshua's purpose is. All i know is that Roset is trying to get him back and in the mean while has become part of something bigger. Well, every since ep 15 i've been pretty stuck to watching this. Hopefully it doesn't self-destruct. _________________ [IMG:508:164:6c8e3c695e]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p252/inqArk/Original_sig.jpg[/img:6c8e3c695e] |

| I like the fight scene in Ep 17... Probably the best part of the show right there... |

Fully agree... one of the best fight scenes I have seen. Too bad Chrno didn't show his full potential... |

eh i just finished watching 13-15 and i have to say that i like it. sure the plot isnt awe inspiring or anything but honestly nothing is anymore. pretty much all the innovative themes and plots have already been used up so now its just a matter of who can recycle what the best. also learning about chrno's past is pretty interesting too. i dunno its just something about the occult that fascinates and yet horrifies me at the same time and the idea of the church and demons cooperating is a pretty interesting concept. i was kind of wondering about the mark of the stigmata though... i thought the wounds were supposed to appear on both wrists but that the wounds of the crown of thorns would appear first. doesnt the process go crown of thorns -> wounds on the wrists -> wounds on the feet -> wound from the spear or something like that? also i guess if chrno has been way too altered to be enjoyable, i'm glad i dont have anything to compare it with cause i'm enjoying it ^^ _________________ is life really so long as to allow us to spend each day dreaming about tomorrow?

Don't bother too much about what I say since I'm hung up too much on the manga so I'm biased
If you enjoy it, just continue to watch. |

AF-F just released Ep 22... So you can get that.
Anyway, pretty good episode, except for the fact that Satella had almost zero actual development in this show, so it's hard to feel anything for her. |

I feel the same way as you do. Chrno, Rosette, and Azmaria are the only one having the most character development here though Azmaria's level is still uncomparable to Chrno and Rosette.
I found that the show is nice but more difficult to follow than manga itself. |

havnt caught up on this anime in awhile (i have up to 19 from a-kraze sitting on my hdd, tho iv only seen up to like 10) i really liked in the beginning, and waited for each new ep eagerly. then, somewhere along the way, i lost interest. im not sure why, but i just didnt feel like watching it anymore. but since im not taking on too much this season, i figure ill catch up sometime or other. _________________
