i really don't like the ending at all . Why everyone have to die !!
it's really concern me a lot . i cried when i see the ending .
not because i'm sad but .... arghhh !!!!! i don't want see this kind of anime again ...
it's just that.... i started to like them a lot but when they started to die one by one , it's really makes me feel ..... lost , empty ....
maybe you find it funny ...but anime makes me feel alive since i don't like anything in this world . Anime , manga & games is the only thing that i know in this world . when seeing the character in the anime so happy makes me happy too. maybe i devoted my life to anime too much ..... right ?

well.... the thing about that is Chrno can actually choose when he dies or not O_o it seems kinda wierd b/c if you remember he was still alive although he was in a contract with his first love (forgot the name)....
but Chrno decides that when Rosette dies he doesn't want to live without her... so he follows her into the Astral Lines...

Its nothing like that. Its a very symbolic ending, because that it applies to the theme of good vs. evil. There will always be evil no matter what, thats why you see Aion again walking through the streets. If there no longer were to be Aion, there would no longer be any evil. In that case, there would be no god. The whole reason that Aion still is there, is for the reason that people keep praying to god. Wherever evil exists, there will always be a stronger light.
In Chrno's situation, hes a demon but he becomes good, show how evil can become good in the end. He was tarnished but he atoned for his sins with Rosette.
The picture that you see in the end was most symbolic, however. The picture captures times and freezes it. Its a signet of immortality (Aion, Juan) and it proof of existence.
Props out to Nosfera2 for helping me understand CC. It does make sense, the ending was done very well. A sad ending like this is how I liked it, and I wouldn't change a single thing.

Yup, in the end, chrno does sucks out her life in order to nourish his own. I also nearly cried when I saw the ending. It is juts so good. I rewatched the whole thing like 3 times. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

He never wanted to outlive Rosette. He loved her that much he wanted to be with her, that was why. Rosette didn't have any objections, thats the way she wanted it, and in the end, although they died, they died together happy.
