Indeed, i also found the episode intriguing. Mainly due the the promise of some interesting character models that were shown in the OP, ED and the few that were introduced in teh episode. Each character model seems to be unique, which hopefully will have a correspondingly unique and itneresting personality. If they manage to devleop these characters above satisfactory, then i think we're in for a treat.
Ehh... didn't really get my attention... Maybe it was the ambiguously gay cat character, or maybe it was b/c ... heck... i'm thinking it was the gay cat. But who knows. I didn't like bleach for a good 7 episodes or so, so I guess we can hope that this one will turn into something awesome.
A anime il for sure add to my collection, along with 2 other new series now. Seams to becomme a quite interesting time afterall, my favorite GSD is over, but i have a feeling that this anime will overtake the spot, just got a strange feeling about it. _________________
It looks ok so far, but the main character seems a bit more... childlike than in the manga. I hope that Gonzo won't skewer the manga on that one, as it has some promise
episode 1 was totally way off from the manga. It starts of really differently, and it portrays Sven as an even bigger clown/joker in the anime compared to the manga. Train is much more cooler and serious in the first episode too.
It'll be interesting to see how Gonzo changes their characteristics later on since
Train is more of a joker compared to Sven in the manga =)
Although the anime didn't follow the manga at the start, this new direction in the anime isn't that dissapointing. I found it quite interesting and am curious on how Gonzo will follow up in the first episode.

I agree that the anime rocks but I got a feeling that GONZO isn't invest enough budget on this one... the animation quality seems to loose out compare with other new series such as Mai-Otome...
Maybe I'm too sensitive but I think the scene keep replaying isn't a good idea... somehow i just got this feeling... that this is a low budget series... _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b]

Haha, why does Last Exile suddenly come to mind? I waited anxiously for volume 7 to come for a whole year, then I watched it and sorta dosed off before it was over. I really should watch it again.. sigh
As for Black Cat, this reminds me sorta like Futakoi: Alternative, but with more action and pizzazz (oh, and weapons, need those). Throw in a little Cowboy Bebop for coolness and some DNAngel for some reason (I don't know why, that was the first series that it reminded me of and I've only seen two episodes from DNA). Anyway, I'll be watching closely to this one, aside from Eureka Seven, this will be my main focus for the winter.
Uh oh, Mistabean's a moderator now (or have you always been and I'm just now noticing?). Well, if it was recent, then congrats and I'll try to stay on your good side. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Well thanks . I am just newly appointed mod of the anime section together with eisenmeteor.
Well one thing for certain, if Gonzo stayed true to their style of ending though, then expect big and major battle in the end. They always like to end it with quite a bang, and satisfactory enough if you only take the amount of action into consideration (without regards to story ) _________________ ...

So far I think they've made it pretty good even if it's a bit to early to give judgment on it. Like they approched it abit diffrently then the manga so that we get something new. Also if they follow the manga to the dot then we'd know everything would be nice if they followed the story and all but add abit of new things like they did now. Also even if they don't follow the story at all it might become something great for example My Hime
Only have seen the first episode bo so far I like it. I've read alot of reviews saying newcomers to the property will like it but hte manga fans won't.
