I didn't like the first episode at all, mostly because Sven never meets Train while he is Black Cat. Black Cat never sees Eve until Sven and him are already partners for an unspecific amount of years.
Gonzo stupidity... FULL POWAR! |

I don't think Gonzo needs to stick to the manga completely. If anything, it'd be nice to see his spin on things...so long as he doesn't make something awful
Anyways, so far so good. I keep thinking of DNAngel when I watch the first episode, anyone else getting the same vibe? |

| Nope didn't get any DNAngel vibe from it. I do however get a Tokyo Underground vibe from the intro feels as if they've been made in somewhat same fashion. Also concluded I don't like the way the battle was made in the second episode. Might get better later on I just din't like how they made it (The chasing/hunting part) |

One thing I forgot to mention
I like how the OP song and sequence just harmonizes with each other. One of the better combination that just gets along with each other.
Well comments on ep 2: Heh, this show getting pretty interesting by the minute. Mostly I like on the style they are presenting the story. Very nicely done. _________________ ... |

I do agree on the intro that's it's pretty nice still give me a kind of Tokyo Underground flashback when I see it.
I do like how they made Saya have a bigger role in the begining insteed of being introduced later on. Also feel abit funny about their names when they say Black Cat, Train Heartnet and so on just sounds odd. |

Watching the first 2 episodes I am sadly not impressed with this anime. I realy like the colours and the style but the rest just seems uninspired.
Maybe Ill check in on it again when episode 10 is released and stuff is actualy happening |

| About the style at least the the shadings and "shadow" effects are used at certain intervals and like not all the time, noting: Project Arms & Soul Taker (Gave me head aches every time I watch it) if you know what I mean. But I guess it's stye I just hope I see less of it and more colors instead like the usual anime... other than that It's a solid title and the character designs are good... |

I can kinda see what you're getting at. Definitely not as drastic as Soul Taker's black + one color style, but throw in a little Tsukuyomi Moon Phase background and some Geobreeder character design, and I think we're a little closer.
Episode 2 wasn't much of an improvement, I would say, but then again, I liked the 1st episode anyway, so it is a compliment. We're seeing a little more action, which I must say, displays one of the best gun battles I've seen since Noir and Madlax. And like I said before, the bounty-hunter (or in this case, "sweeper") approach is very remeniscent of fan-fave classic, Cowboy Bebop.
We also meet a new damsel in distress who treats us to some very nice eechi moments. O.O Her character arc is just beginning, and I, for one, hope she sticks around. The "cases" these characters take on is very much darker than anything seen on Bebop (or GetBackers, another similiar show), but I won't spoil any details for now.
My last final thought at this point in the series is that the ending animation director needs to cut the dosage on whatever it is he's taking. We're all familiar with the whackiness that comes from Japan (hence the Katamari Damacy craze), but I think the ending just takes away from the seriousness that Black Cat is trying to establish. At least Futakoi Alternative maintained some dignity at the end of each episode. _________________

| I personally thought episode 2 was pretty bad. It was kinda boring through-out the whole thing. I mean yes they introduced a new character who doesnt like to kill people. But I mean the episode was going a little too slow for me. I hope things pick up after all the other characters are introduced. It doesnt seem like that bad of a story, it sorta hooked me a lil on the first episode but lost me on the second. I will continue to watch in hopes that this does get better. |

| I just finished the 2nd episode, and I'm not happy with it. I think this anime does not address manga fans because I think they'll make new story out of it. When I started reading Black Cat, I thought if it was animated it would be more like Gunslinger, Trigun kinda theme in terms of fast paced action. Hope they'll look into it, but I'm not keeping my hopes up if they'll stay w/ the manga. |

Please dont keep comparing it to the manga. I hate when people do that to anime. We get it, manga's are way better than the animes. Sometimes thats not true but whatever. You dont have to trash on an anime just because its not exactly like the manga. I agree with everyone that this anime was not good, but please dont hate on it just because its not exactly like the manga. That is the worst reason for disliking an anime.
Of course thats just my opinion on the whole thing. I just really dislike people who do that. |
