The movie has its own storyline, compeltly different from the anime, I would say it more of a movie based on the manga than direct page for page translation. anyways, the battles do look good, as they havent used CG, but real life professional drifters to do the race stunts.

actually, there will be 2 more eps. OB planning added 2 more eps to the series. But still, they simply cant do allot with just 2 extra eps. My geuss is that there will be a 5th stage or they plan on adding more eps.
sometime people say "Oh what the Hell.....he'll win eventually......" and "the drawing sucks, especially the ladies faces, yucks"
Well, my guess is that since this show is about cars, they've decided to make the chicks' faces look like car fronts too; they've even got the same rectangular lights... uh, I mean eyes.
Anyway, this series is getting lamer and lamer. The characters, story-development, and drama in Initial D have got to be among the blandest I've seen in any show. Though I guess that's why I just can't stop laughing while I'm watching it.
However I wouldn't mind if they cut on the pointless repetitive chit-chat, it is taking up about 2/3 of the episodes and is insulting to the audience's intelligencemake as well as boring to watch.
On a side note, the guy who writes the manga must have a very... uhm... basic understanding of women, probably derived from playing dating sims. Though he did get one point right - many of them are bitches. _________________ Is that the best you can do, you pansies?

Well to an extent i am sure that's true, and when watching this anime, the girls do seem like total sluts... but honestly though, I don't think the girls should take all the blame... the guys love the cars too much... it almost seems satirical about car enthusiasts.

i must agree that his anime has lost some of its edge from the previous seasons, especially that there is a long break between the eps so they cant have much of a clifhager going (or maybe they should) but i still like it

I ask that u plx dont insult ID in front of me. it was back in 99 that I got to know ID, and geuss what I loved and still do. Its about cars, get over with it, so what if the females look like crap. without ID, I would not have known what drifting was. Now thx to ID, I spent my weekends burning my tires off my car.
Though I kinda agree that the storyline for this stage sucks. Its more focused on the races (which by the way, I like). As a car nut, I find ID the only manga/anime I can enjoy. Not my manga/anime on racing.

yeah guess ur right there, land of the free right. anyway, I just got a little to fanboyish there. I guess some people like and some dont, I guess it "To each his own".
i really like the first 3 seasons and the movies but the 4th season lacks depth, i do like the races but its repetative
There were only 2 seasons. 3rd stage is a movie.
I liked seasons 1 and 2 the most. Then I was very disappointed by the movies. Compared to them I think that season 4 is a step up, but it's still subpar. It's been a long time since the series entered a repetitive loop like most other shounen soaps, the storyline and characters haven't gone anywhere, and on top of that they're killing the momentum of the races with pointless comments. To be honest I have yet to see a single race as exciting as any of the those in the first season. _________________ Is that the best you can do, you pansies?
