Death Note: the world after Kira

Have you ever considered what will happen to the world once Kira dies? He's human after all, and he either had to leave a "Kira Jr." or either if, death note users really turn into shinigamis, to get another death note and give it to someone so he can stay in the human world and continue killing. Aside from that, what if he fills the note?

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I didn't see it, and since it's a particular question I didn't want to post it in the general Death Note thread...

Most likely we will find out, because this is a conflict they have to bring up in the manga sooner or later, i mean that book isn't going to last forever Razz

Well, if he builds up enough of a following, he won't need the notebook anymore.

Sorta like what happens in 20th Century Boys, he can just use his lackies and ordinary people to carry out his "good"

hmm....completely filled deathnote;; unless another shinigami drops the deathnote in the human world, people will stop dying from the death note. Kira wouldn't be able to persecute criminals and sooner or later, criminals will find it out and once again flourish the world with their lunatic actions T___T

Well, if the killings stop, I don't think things will be as easy as "all will get back to normal", since the lack of Kira will cause some kind of "criminality revolution" and mayhem will ensue. Maybe in the end police will be able to control it, but not after a long period in which "rule of the strongest" will prevail. The absence of Kira is shown briefly in the manga already, even though it was for a short period of time until the "new Kira" (Higuchi) appeared.

And another thing that I considered... If we suppose that death Note users become shinigamis, I think then we still haven't seen the end of Higuchi...

I figure once the book fills up, it will disappear, and Kira will either die instantly or at the very least disabled, and hopefully the world will go back to normal.

i don't think Kira(Raito) will end just by fill up the death book because he could ask ryuuku to exchange the fill up note with a new one.
But the must interesting thing is that what happend when Raito will dead because Ryuuku tell him that a user of death note won't go to heaven nor hell (see chapter 1). Might he become a shinigami like him?

if there were anyone thinks that kira's work is good then maybe that guy will kill someone if the deathnote is dropped again.

i don't think that it is a good idea that a another person have the deathnote because i think only Raito can achieve the work of kira or someone with the same intelligence or more than him because it seems that many peaple are attract by the deathnote and not for noble reasons Sad

the new possessor must be strong enough to protect it

i doesn't really know what will happed after kira dies... but i think the world will go back the way it belong too... likt now kira is in power many people are afraid to comit crimes and even minor crimes... but if kira dead i think it will back to where kira started... Wink

I think he might be punished or something similiar?That might be a side effect of using the deathnote?Just my guessing...

lol i think we're forgettin the real reason why this has happened: Ryuku the 'bored' shinigami XD

i think after this whole kira and L incidence, ryuk will be more motivated to accidentali drop more death notes in the human world... ... er.. on purpose XD

but if the whole cycle does end tho, kira would eventuali turn into a belief of goodwill like santa clause ^^" ... (if you're on the naughty list... well.. you die in 40 seconds XD!!!)

(btw nothing happens when the note is filled: does n e body listen to ryuku other than when he makes stupid remarks?)

Fwankling- but Fwankling... although you say that shinigami name ryuku was bored right?? well. yes the story does started with he was bored and then drop the death notes to the human world... but don't you think that not every1 as smart as kira/light/raito?? then without the brain power as high as raito won't you think he/she will get caught way way more faster.?
