Hot gimmick is pretty good as far as shojo is concerned... I bought the japanese volumes (11 so far... perhaps 1-2 more left to come since the series has allready ended) ...however, isn't it a bit of mysogenistic? I'm not really into that... but it makes for a very funny manga
I'm suprised it hasn't been adapted into an anime...
btw: if you don't allready know the ending... it's kinda of predictable... |

Read all of them. Othello, interesting topic coz thats the only manga I've read so far on multiple personalities. I do wonder how it will turn out. Read 1-5 so far.
Hot gimmick, one of my favorites. I can't believe he'd force her to be his slave for such a little reason. Blackmail!!! Read 1-10. I almost tore out the book when they stopped where they stopped at 10. Now I've to worry about whats gonna happen when the model finds out. Or did he already. And curious on how the boyfriend will react when he finds out she went to stay with shinogu, thats the only name I remember -_-; And its been eating at my head about whether shinogu will confess his love or not!!! So many cliffhangers!
Girl Got Game. I was excited when I first started reading it. It had a good start and a good middle. But I'm so disappointed with the end. How can she be so careless. It just didn't seem right that they'd all barge in on them like that just when her top slipped. The ending somehow just didn't fit with the rest of it, even if she did win that last game and all. Did she win that last game? I got distracted by my own disappointment on how she got caught to pay attention to the last few pages. |

There are a total of 9 or 10 volumes. It ends at the 10th volume. |

The conclusion of Othello is volume 7, which will be out on April probably. |

I've read girl got game and it was so funny!!!!nice story and pretty good too  but kinda sad that it has only 10 volumes though...should have been longer |

| I read a summary of Girl Got Game and it would be really cool to read, but I personally like the summary and art of Hot Gimmick much better. In fact, I just bought the first 8 volumes, yay ^o~! I read some Othello and it was pretty awesome. The storyline wasn't that great or creative, but it's fun to see how everything works out (or rather, how NOTHING works out...haha). |

I didn't think there was a thread about Girl Got Game or Hot Gimmick (glad I found it, I was about to start one!)
Both series are really interesting to me. Both have a way of making me laugh and cringe at the same time (what a moron that Ryoki can be sometimes). I definitely have to recommend this series to others if they are looking to read some shojo manga.
Anyways, does anyone have links to a site hosting Hot Gimmick chapters 38 onwards and any of the Girl Got Game manga after volume 5? StopTazmo has the first 1-37 chapters of Hot Gimmick (although some of the translations aren't exactly the best) just in case anyone needs to know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |
