XBox 360?

I heard there is going to be a new Xbox coming out with better graphics then the PS2 itself. Is it true or is there something more behind this?

They say the xbox360 is better but that the PS3 will sell better because it has playback means you can play old PS1@PS2 games know body know if the xbox360 can do playback but microsoft they would say at E3

im pretty sure that the xbox 360 will have playback..if not then microsoft is the biggest conartixt around. I really want to know wat the ps3 is gonna look like. i think i will one day buy both ps3 and xbox 360...but wouldnt it be nice to have a system for both...xbox 360 + ps3 = the coolest system ever invented..thanks to yours truely..logs Very Happy

After seeing screenshots of the new morrowind I can say that the Xbox 360's graphics are much better than the PS2, but the real question is will it be more powerful than the PS3? Seeing as the PS3 is comming out much later than the Xbox 360, I would assume that it will be, and if Microsofts not carefull, their gaming department could go the way of the Dreamcast.

BTW The Cell processor is years ahead of anything else in the consumer market. Nothing like it appears on Intel's roadmaps until the 2010-2015 period. Thus PS3 beats Xbox360's outdate engine.

The PS3 graphics will be alot better than the XBox 360 but the Xbox 360 will have pretty good graphics compare the ps2 and i heard it is coming out soon hopefully. The ps3 will have a better Cell processor which i guess we can say is better than the xbox 360 but i want both of them anyways hahaha

All we have seen so far is hype. Both have insane hardware, like it was stated by Nintendo and MS, the next generation is about software. Produce great game, great service, and that is the best you can do, difference between them graphically will be minor.

I am interested in the XBOX if my roomate gets a PS3 it would be nice to have an xbox in the house. i did not own the previous xbox but would like it if the new xbox played the old DOA games! And other good old xbox games like ... Panzer Dragoon or Jet Set Radio

1. Xbox 360 WILL be backwards compadible...((Xbox games will be playable on Xbox 360))
2. Playstation 3 is "better" then Xbox 360 when it comes to performence and so...

4. I think that when it comes to wich console that will be better, Xbox 360 will win cause:
It will be released this year..
They now work with Square Enix((The Creators of the Final Fantasy games))...
Xbox makes more quality games then Sony who spits out a uncountable number of games every month in hope that some of them will become popular <.<

Unfortunately, which one is "better" won't be decided until 2 or 3 years from now. Sony by far has the superior hardware, but when you look at the specs of that machine, you'll see that it'll be pretty tough for even a mega-corporation like sony to sell it for under 400$. PS3 looks to be something priced along the lines of the 3DO and PSX, and I highly doubt that many people will rush out to buy it when it first comes out, unless the games are absolutely amazing.

XBOX 360, on the other hand, looks to be a much cheaper machine. Using current technology that's easily producible, it'll also have a one year head start. Microsoft will still take a loss for each X360 they sell, but I highly doubt that it'll even be close to how much Sony stands to lose on each PS3.

Then again, this looks like the Sega Dreamcast vs. Sony/N64. Microsoft is taking the risk of not backing either of the future formats of Bluray or HDDVD, so the games will be easily pirated. It also doesn't bring too much more to the table, and is really not a "Next-Gen" system, much like the Nintendo Revolution (which looks like garbage). Sony is taking a lot of risks, and if they are able to minimize cost, then they will win.

However, I don't like the fact that Sony is using CGI for their tech demos and saying that it's in game graphics. Go watch the Killzone 2 video on ign.com and then you'll see what I mean. Lots of controvesy surrounding that one.
