Ps3 vs. Xbox 360

microsoft is othing but a cheap bastard now... they want you to keep buy stuff over and over again...no playback i hear.. they expect you to buy xbox 360 even though you cant play xbox games on it so u have to buy the same game for xbox 360...this is pissing me off...just stick to ps3 and all is good and right in this world Very Happy

For me the range of games are more important than graphics. At teh moment ps2 beats xbox in that respect.

And the Revolutions BC was announced to use the online functions. It would involve downloading the older games( being NES SNES GB or even GBA and 64) for a price. Maybe MS is planning on doing the same for their more popular titles?

i think the sony grew a brain stem when they made the controller wireless and shaped like a boomerang (so when you get mad at the game and you throw it it'll come back and wack you in the head

wireless controllers are great. in fact I think al three of the next-gen consoles will have them. What I dont understand is why the PS3 can have 7 controllers...isnt it usual to have an even amount of controller ports?

with the BC issue, some ppl will use their old systems as credit toward the new one or sell it to someone else. that doesn't mean that they don't want to play the games, though. I sold my PSX, but I still play the games on my PS2.

It also becomes a big issue when the price of games is like it is now. Most ppl may not be able to buy alot of games so if they bought a system that didn't include BC, their library would be limited. Hopefully the price of games wont increase for the next gen consoles.

You know what? Screw it all, I'm buying every system that is going to come out, including Nintendo Revolution and The Phantom X_x. As i see it, alot of games are switching to one system to another, so why not. can't be hard and might be fun to have them all...so many games...

sony systems will have better graphic then xbox 360, but the controller will be very gay looking. if you going to buy the good looking 1 you should go with the xbox 360. Im going to buy both, since some of the games they don't make in both system Cool

i'm a ps 4 life person plus i saw the E3 thing on gamespot and wat the ps3 can due from it's specs looks amazing and haveing render in real time is amazing although i'm a little shakiny on dat but if it can OOOOHHHhh man one more great reason to buy ps3

As far as playback with the Xbox 360 goes, as I understand it, the system is set up to emulate the Xbox for specific titles only. The same theory and technology that lets you play old SNES games on your computer is being used to play Halo 2 on a shinier system. It seems kinda dumb to me, since I doubt you'll be able to play DOA extreme beach volleyball on the Xbox 360 (cry), and it can't be THAT hard to run the old games. However, since they're NOT making it backwards compatable, it makes the two systems seem extremely diferent.

Also, what ever happened to the Revolution? Nobody ever talks about it even coming close to being able to compete with the other two systems, but since the Revolution is scheduled to come out after the other two systems (I'm pretty sure, but if I messed up the order please tell me) it should at least perform better than the other two systems. Also, it's fscking tiny. Not that that makes much of a difference in the long run, but whatever. And hey, you can download old 64 games (or older) onto the damn thing. It's much like the Xbox 360's emulator thing, but with older systems and with less hardware involved. Besides, just when I thought the GCN was down the shitter, along came RE4 to completely make the system worth owning again. I wouldn't rule out Nintendo form being able to pull some random amazing game out of somewhere questionable. If Halo can revolutionalize the Xbox, I'm sure SOMETHING could (sorry about this) revolutionalize the Revolution.
