Ok,

We all know the mindless people who thing Naruto is the best thing since since electricity.

I'll try to bridge the gap on why so many people hate Naruto. I'll first assume that if you watch Naruto with an open mind, you'll see that this anime is actually quite good in terms of animation and fights. Although the plot moves slowly, the overall story is pretty good and some of the fights are amazing when they don't do 5 minute recaps outta a 25 min episode. I think most people will agree that Naruto is quite a decent anime series.

What turns most people off from Naruto I think is not the anime itself, but the legions of narrow minded fans dubbed 'narutards' by the rest of the anime watching community. These people believe and truly believe, judging from their actions, that Naruto is simply the best thing to exist period. That kind of opinion turns off many other anime fans who otherwise would of thought Naruto was pretty good and who now denounce the show and write it off because they don't want to be seen as a narutard by others.

IdNoe points out a funny statistic on how people camp on Animesuki for Naruto. Naruto episodes officially released for 2 hours or more only have 2000 or so downloads (from Mircx, fansubbers, etc) and then when Animesuki updates their page the downloads jump to 7000 in just 30 minutes!

What i'm trying to say to both parties is:

1) Watch Naruto with an open mind.

2) If you think Naruto is the best anime ever, you haven't watched enough anime.

3) Don't bash Naruto (the anime) when you just don't like the Naruto fans.

4) Retarded ratings from both parties will be deleted in the Anime Reviews section.

it caught me off guard when i looked at the title of this post and then at the author. It wasnt fitting. Anyway, im watching naruto currently at the rate of about 4-8 eps per week and im not liking the three+ ep fights. That just seems to dbzish and is slightly annoying but otherwise i dont find it to be that abd of a show

other nice examples might be those few times when anbu & co is among the first 3-4 groups to release the newest ep then they will get about 60000~ downloads withing the hour or so :p ..

well anyway it's a pretty nice anime but I think they should make the story move abit faster.

It's got decent storyline and inspiring characters. I like the show but it's no where as good as say cowboy bebop and other quality series. But many of my friends who never were interested in anime became hooked to anime after the popularity of Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist. They all think those two are the greatest anime ever, cause Laughing

those are the only two good ones they've probably seen, haha.

I really don't mind the slow pace. I think that it goes through things hour by hour through each character's lives. I think that that is very filling because you can know the character inside out without having to decipher it yourself in fast paced plots. You come to love each character more and more with each passing episode. However, this is how I feel about it.

Hum... I knew the popularity was coming since I heard about it last year Novemberish or so. I had been on DA (deviantart.com) for a while since then and Naruto fanart is limitless, there are even 3-4 clubs. It wasn't a surprise in my opinion.

The fact that the battles seem DBZish because Masashi-sensei, when he was young, admired DBZ's creator (whom I don't know the name of). The DBZ creater influenced Masashi to become a Manga artist. But I'm just happy that Naruto's characters are not muscle bulked and more realistic, in contrast with DBZ characters.

i think its retarded. I cant stand spending hours tying up my cpu with bittorrent only so that i get eps that flash back enough so i hardly get new stuff. Ok im exagerating but my point is, use action to bring out the charecters true personas, not flashbacks and 20 min dialogs.

I don't really see anything quite wrong with the series that I cannot put up with. Everything that annoyed me in the beginning eps have dwindled away for the most part (i.e. those constant recaps...). And they are finally getting into the part of the manga that was pretty damn interesting to read. Always fun to see the stuff I have read finally animated. Finally got to see Rasengan animated.

Let's not forget that all my friends are straight up Naruto fanboys and can't get enough of it. And it's always fun to watch anime with a group of people than by yourself. People start laughing at random times and just makes everyone else bust up. Excuse me, I have digressed.

Naruto, by far, isn't the best anime out there, but I believe it to be pretty decent to watch. Mr. Green

whoa how dead on is this? I actually don't mind watching the anime but when I have to listen to everyone say this is the best anime ever my head nearly explodes. Hell I would almost rather watch that stupid pop tart commercial where the guy goes "BAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaam!" on infinite loop... but bleh decent anime altogether Razz

It's probably the sort of show that I would watch if it was on telly. I don't see much point in wasting bw on it though.
