If you like soccer this serie is great , the original one atleast , i havnt watched the road to 2002. They showed some on tv and i was hooked
Fun soccer well i admit not very realistic but i still think its better then wild striker and whistle.

well anyway its pretty hard to find , so if you ever find dls let me know Wink

I liked this series but I do not like it anymore. The way they kick is miraculously like Prince of Tennis. I am not sure whether they are still human beings. Like Misaki kicks at the direction of his goal keeper and the ball travels half a circle and go into the opponent goal.

Yes it could be 80's, its very old.
I agree its not very realistic but very entertaining.

I dunno, I always thought the original was a bit slow paced. And the 2002 was a bit rushed.

The best version I think is Captain Tsubasa J. It's the first time that I watch it and I was hooked.

Until it reached the half, this anime was ok, but then I got bored of all that soccer. It's just too much ! Those kids don't have a life of their own anymore, they simply live to play soccer, and that annoyed me. I wanted to see them elsewhere, not always on the football field. Now that I think of it, it's pretty scary that I got bored, because I usually never get bored with animes...

the anime is ok. In fact, football players like Nakata, Del Piero, Kawaguchi and Totti read it's manga when they where kids. Captain Tsubasa is the first anime that featured football.
