excluding a couple of exceptions (like Orihime), I think a lot of the anime ˇheroesˇwho are at times a bit obnocsious and cranky have orange hair it coul de a sign...

Because Japanese people tend to have black hair. Having orange (or light colored) hair would mean they dyed it or bleached it and for kids in school, this is a no-no. They probably get harassed by adults because it's in violation of school dress codes. |
