#1 honey and clover: its funny, smart, a little goofy, and well done with great plot and character development. also good music and animation.
other good ongoing stuff is bleach ad speed grapher
based on all the praise for basilisk i think ill try it... though right now im having trouble finding a working seeded torrent for episode 1. guess thats what happens when you're late.
i watched like 3 episodes of he's my master, and then stopped, but maybe i stopped too early, did it get alot better later? seems like lots of people like it.
biggest disappointment: the ichigo anime. |

since summer has ended, and autumm/fall season is beginning (in japan that is... ) I pronounced this thread...
WAIT my opinion first... let's see... oh wait... I dont know what anime was released in what season... doesnt matter...
1. Eureka 7
although subbing is slow, by the looks of the raws so far, this anime has it all... halfway through, and i am not in the slightest dissappointed, all i hope is that they will end this with no questions left hanging
2. Honey and Clover
now this series might be on par with Fruits Basket, but sadly they didnt gave me the feeling that I think I will never feel while watching fruits basket... nonetheless the realism (Hagu excluded, except for ep 23, which she was just... beautiful) and the characters in it just blows me my mind...
and with that I pronounced this thread... MOVED!!
PS: I think both of the series started in summer... but doesnt matter i think, since most of the spring series is a.. dissappointment to me (or have i been watching all the wrong shows?) _________________ ... |

Honey and Clover definitely the best. Nothing comes close to it's humor and drama. The animation also has a unique style, and the music is a top notch. Honey and Clover did come out in spring. It's on episode 20+ which is about 5 months ago which would make it around April. That would be spring I believe . |

I'll have to go with the ones I watched:
- Eureka Seven... this has seen a media blitz now that it's been licensed in America. Many sources have already predicted this to be one of the top 5 animes of 2006 (which it rightly deserves).
- He is My Master... maids make me drool
- Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome... don't remember which was spring 2005, I think HiME was ending around that time, but either way, both of these series are beyond excellent. And HiME is due to be released in a few weeks!!!
I can't remember what else came out in spring, it was so long ago... maybe Mahou Sensei Negima and Uta~Kata were in that area, oh, and Tsukiyomi Moon Phase too. _________________
