Aww... Bummer we lost all the stuff in the move... Of course it has to happen now that I am on break and could have actually caught up on everything. Oh well.
Episode 23 brought things back to the manga in a way. The problem I had is that I felt for the first time they really didn't capture the emotions of the manga as well as they could have. While I hope that this doesn't become a standard or anything It was still a very fun watch. They even gave a nice little nod to the manga author in there as well.
The ending also opens up some interesting twists that will deviate from the manga so that should be a good sign if nothing else.
Last but not least I must admit that the Director has done a very good job of structuring the episodes so they always come out leaving you wanting more. The half hour sitting in front of the TV seems to fly by so fast everytime I watch this show. That and we are at 23 episodes and no real recap crap yet either. (that or maybe i missed that episode...) regardless looking forward to more. |

| I admit that I lost a bit of interest in this series during the last arc... I guess I didn't like some of the things that were done. Hopefully the next part will bring back my interest again. |

Nah, now that the other anime I'm watching are approaching their ends I'm more interested in them instead.
And I just don't like some of the changes that they did to the anime. |

Umm... Those're your opinions. And frankly, I don't care about them. Just stating mine since you asked for them. So if you'll excuse me...
Oh and since I read the manga, I pretty much know what will happen in FMA too (of course they might change some stuff but who cares)... So meh. |

Interesting choices you said there darkhunger.
I cannot comment on RoD, Gravion & Maburaho since I don't watch them (but I heard Maburaho is going into a dive?).
But PMK??? I think you heard enough of my opinions on that show in its own thread and elsewhere.
Planetes is a good anime but once you read the manga, you cannot help but feel disappointed with it. (I think I should start the Planetes thread soon...)
That is not the case for FMA for me. The manga is terrific (although Chp 33 seems to point a big diversion in the Elric's quest). The anime so far adopts a different pace and tack that is interesting so far (although I spot some possible incongrueties that the anime producers may have to solve and sooth over). Not many series can do that. But of course since this is a 52 episode series, it is not too late for it to do a Flame of Recca/Hellsing and make me scream and bash them! |

That was a while ago... But after Ep 19 it's getting a bit interesting again IMO.

And I think I wrote my opinions on this in its thread too... IMO the last ten episodes (other than the arc with the magic people) have been interesting and I've been enjoying this a lot.

Well I haven't read the manga, so I guess I'm not disappointed just yet.

Well, I agree for the most part. I just lost some interest in this series in the last few episodes, that's all. It's probably due to the fact that I spoiled myself from reading the manga. |

Well I haven't read the amnga but from what I hear, the story lines in the anime and manga will be taking two diffirent roads. So you probably won't be spoiling yourself for long |

Well I have posted this in another forum but let's see what opinions I can get around here.
There are some things the anime has done to increase my interest in Scar. But the main thing that got me thinking was the implied possible relations (no, not that kind of relations) with Lust.
Do not proceed if you are bothered with revealing contents up to Ep23.
My train of thought...
1. Hmm... Scar's elder brother with a female that Scar thinks Lust resembles.
2. Scar's elder brother playing around with alchemy to restore 'her'.
3. Scar keeps commenting on Lust's similarity with brother's girl.
4. Say... how old is Scar? Looks like early teens in that Isshuvarun war (lasted 13 years, ended 6 years back). So now early to late 20's?
5. Then if what the anime crew try to play with people's mind is true, then Lust must be less than 13 years old... wait that is not right...
6. Greed says 130 years have passed. The Sins know each other. Hereto, Lust is of equivalent age.
7. Something funny is going on down here...
Possible explanation (if what the anime crew's obvious sledehammer on your head is true)...
1. Lust is created recently but knows Greed from seeing him in his prison.
2. or Scar is way older than we think he is and the war in his flashback is not the Isshuvarun Massacre but a war much earlier in the past (centuries back).
Possibility 1 can be discounted with the following material from the manga.
Lust knows Wrath. Greed does not know Wrath but knows Lust. Wrath is 60 years old. Ergo, Lust is at least 60+years old.
Note that so far Scar's history in the manga is still shrouded in much mystery. I believe he also shows no signs of recognition of Lust's features.
Hence Possibility 2 would fit more to explain what the anime crew is trying to throw around here. Either that or we got ourselves a incongruity around here or its a red herring and they are playing with our minds!!!
Query: Is it considered appropriate to not use spoiler tags around here when the episode has already aired? Cause my post looks funny this way... |

From what has been revealed so far in the anime we can conclude that Scar is def not older than what he seems and that he was present at the massacre during his early teens.
As for the other guys;
Greed mentions that 130 years have passed but he isn't exactly specific as to what he means by it. Could be that 130 years have passed since there has been a situation like the present one. Or he could really mean that 130 years have passed since he has been free. It's too ambiguous to pinpoint anyone's age just yet. _________________ [IMG:508:164:6c8e3c695e]http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p252/inqArk/Original_sig.jpg[/img:6c8e3c695e] |
