Yeah bringing back Archer really sucks! I was happy he was gone!
Also! Why are they bringing out the characters who appeared in the anime earlier! This is not a good script! They are gathering everyone to reach a conclusion!!! : / |

I was happy to see Archer and Kimbly go, so the preview with Archer was disappointng, but I think that FMA is still one of the top anime out there (havent' seen 48 yet).
Episode 47 spoilers...
With Lust and Sloth (apparently) gone I thought that Edward was out of human remains to fight the homunculi. I then remembered that Edward may in fact still have some human remains, "may" being the operative word. He had asked his sensei if she had any remains from her child, but we never saw her answer, and while Wrath had fused himself with Sloth, they ended the scene with only Sloth beginning to turn into vapour. The writers for FMA are very clever in what they allow us to see and what they hold back. Just enough to foreshadow events but still leave you guessing in suspense.
If Edward defeats Wrath I can't help but wonder what will happen to his arm and leg since they are already on his side of the gate. The Philosophers Stone is showing signs of deterioration after Tucker's use, so does Edward use the stone and risk not being able to return Al's body? They both have each other's interests as their top priority, so Al may take the initiative to restore Edward, but alas we see a strange reaction every time Edward and Al come into contact with each other. What to do?...
I'm not convinced that Edward and Al's father is dead. What Dante did was send his soul to the other side of the gate. Since the Philosophers Stone has the power to bind souls to a body, the stone could be used to save Hohenheim. Thats' one of the things that I love about this series. So many possibilities. _________________ [IMG:119:90:283352dc7f]http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e36/Tank252ca/HoiHoiSanPointing.gif[/img:283352dc7f]Tank252ca |

The 4th OP is called Riraito by Asian Kung-Fu Gen
Get it here: http://www.fullmetal-alchemist.com/media/audio/
Only two more episodes left! I wonder how things are going to resolve themselves. Seriously.. too bad there wasn't more air time from the military personnel, they just crack me up. Armstrong, Havok, Hawkeye and Mustang all have some hilarious situations. _________________

my bad, I was under the impression it was going to be the same length as Gundam SEED for some reason. I also looked in our database and saw it says 51 episodes..... so can someone confirm the total episodes?
For now I'm gonna have to go with Yebyosh's 51 episodes =)
And what do you mean Sept 2nd 1916 Is? _________________

It is 51 episodes. It is ending on October 2nd (confirmed on BONES' site, Animage magazine, etc). From October 9th, Gundam SEED II will commence in its timeslot.
So since the last FMA episode was episode 48, there will only be 3 more episodes (episode 49 this week, ending at episode 51 on October 2nd). |

awww, soon no more FMA... :'(
oh well, just have to make due with G-Seed 2, and hope it doesn't make me spend as much on scale models as G-Seed did... (3 x 1/60 gundams, and im considering a 1/44 METEOR system....) _________________

[Off-topic] Considering that the preliminary mecha designs of Gundam Seed II shows more Gundams than G-Seed the first, you are screwed, Smeggy... [/Off-topic]
It seems more and more that to 'understand' FMA the anime, you have to watch the movie. Looks like our former-Gainax boys liked what they did with Evangelion and are trying to import it over to here |

I hope I'm not spoiling anything by mentioning the zeppelin connection, but given that they show up in ep.49 (which I haven't seen yet but read a spoiler on Compuserve) this may be fitting:
From http://www.fact-index.com/z/ze/zeppelin.html the section titled Zeppelins in World War I:
Raids continued in 1916, London was accidentally bombed in May and in July the Kaiser allowed directed raids against urban centres. There were twenty-three airship raids in 1916 dropping 125 tons of ordnance killing 293 and injuring 691 people. Anti-aircraft defences were becoming tougher and new Zeppelins were introduced that doubled the operating altitude from 1,800 m to 3,750 m. To avoid searchlights these craft flew above the cloud layer whenever possible, lowering an oberver through the clouds to direct the bombing. The improved safety was balanced against the extra strain on the airship crews and the British introduction in mid-1916 of forward-firing fighters. The first night-fighter victory came on September 2, 1916 when W. Leefe-Robinson shot down one of a sixteen strong raiding force over London, he too won the Victoria Cross. _________________ [IMG:119:90:283352dc7f]http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e36/Tank252ca/HoiHoiSanPointing.gif[/img:283352dc7f]Tank252ca |

Hmmm... just when you have things figured out they throw a curve ball at you.
I wonder why they are in World War I now.
Some interesting things to note for ep 49. They use some dramatic sort of camera positioning... weird angle shots not normally used. Kinda interesting. _________________
