They are just bringing out subjects out of nowhere!!!! So, when did Ed love Rose anyway...

lol, the end of epi 49 caught me off gaurd. Now I know what the hell you guys were talking about whenever you mentioned WWI.

bah....ending of fma 49 is pissing the @#%& out of me..

i have feeling its gonna be another blunderous ending, an eire rod tv-ish ending.

fma was so godly up til the last min of ep 49, but then again, i kinda expected that the ending would suck...but not this bad

So, the good news is that at 13 discs and 100 minutes per disc fans will get 4 episodes per disc. Hopefully we'll see some good competition from retailers and the discounted price will be closer to what other titles are selling for. Some people have seen English trailers and report that the English voice cast sounds good so far. I'll still watch the sub, but it will be nice to view the series on a big screen with good audio. The writing is very good with plenty of hints and the occasional herring thrown your way, so it will be worth a second viewing.

Episode 51 qualifies in my book as one of the worst endings to a series ever.

Nothing. The good did not set up the fall of the evil boss. It was not planned nor acted on. Instead we had a 'miracle' which no one expected suddenly happening. Deus-ex-machina. What was the whole point of setting up one big boss and her evil cronies then?

Nah, do not get too affected by my words. Sometimes my standards concerning something gets too high especially if I was particularly entranced by it in the first place.

For a Shounen genre, it performed slightly above the grade, but for what I had expected of it, it failed.

Your mileage may vary for watching this.

Well, I guess we'll have to wait for the movie for the real ending...

But yes, they spent half an episode to finish up all the bad guys (we didn't even see what happened to quite a few of them, like Dante, Gluttony, Envy, Fullmetal Wrath, etc), others like Winry and Roy (who barely did anything the whole series until he fought the suddenly psychotic Pride whose Ultimate Eye is still left unexplained) are almost totally ignored to the point that they've become useless, and the real world thing really makes not much sense.

Oh well... Hopefully the movie can fix that like BONES's Wolf's Rain OVA ending fixed the TV ending (to an extent).
