Wouldn't shinchan have some of the crappiest artwork available? It goes well whith what the "spirit" of Shin chan is, but there are mangas with more attractive styles.

I'm absolutely impressed with the artwork of NAruto in the manga...
So much of a detail,,,well made,,really looks like those shown in the anime. |

I would have to say Gantz or GTO. And some of the other billion mangas I've read that I forgot their name.
My friends would probably chose all the mangas to have the best art work. LOL (He thinks we [commoners] don't deserve to judge artworks we can't create) LOL! |

This is a late reply... but here I go.
Yes, the actual manga is probably very different than what you see online. They are often badly scanlated and re-edited for scanlation. Compared to other manga, Naruto manga has a very clean and simple style of drawing. It's a unique nature of Naruto. The series started out kinda messy but the art style has evolved into what we are currently seeing. Instead of using lot of shading and filling in dark spots, he usually leaves them blank and instead work on more details in background and other small things. It's not a bad art style, but the anime on the other hand is pretty hopeless. The anime version started out OK, but now all the outsourcing and bad budget planning has transformed the series into something that vaguely resembles the original work.
