I am 19 and I love the anime. I also love Prince of Tennis, Gundam Series, Hajime no Ippo, and many more. Nothing wrong with putting your attention into the things you like. I spend 1/3 of my day on anime and manga. The rest is with family and friends, until football season. Anyways, don't get to bent out of shape over others.

well like i always said, and i say it again, to each has its own opinion... so what if they say "naruto is the best anime there is..." or "naruto is the crappiest anime there is..." it is THEIR opinion, and THEIR feelings about a certain anime... *of course sometime i am infuriated by this, but then again, to each has its own opinions...*

I like Naruto a lot. It is a cool show and most ppl i kno that watch it are not in middle school. Naruto is one of those animes that inspire you to do better at things in life and it is full of solid entertainment that can leave you having a sleepless night full Naruto. But if you want label ppl as geeks because they found it "Fun" then go ahead.

p.s. the worst thing you can do is downlplay a major anime in a anime forum

So these guys are geeks because they were singing in Japanese? No offense, but that is the most common form of insecurity. Calling someone a geek because they're doing something that you have no knowledge in is all too common among the "cool" people.

I'm almost 20, and I like Naruto. If you think a show that has death, violence, blood, etc is a 7th grade show, then...ok, to each their own.

Naruto isn't the best anime I've ever seen, but it's definately a show I can see people getting really involved with. I believe AX2004's naruto themed cosplayers vastly outnumbered any other theme. Naruto is becoming the new dragonball Z, but in a good way...

For every fanbase there is a group opposing it. I don't like Naruto but i enjoyed some of it but i would rather watch Yakitate! Japan.

However I really hate wapaneses, i can't even go to a bookstore without seeing waps talking in broken japanese. It just doesn't feel right to me.

Different strokes to for different people, not my business to give a damn.

Stereotyping seems to be the theme for this forum thread. I am 23 live in a house with my gf and yes I do watch Naruto. And I can almost guarantee that a 35 yr old that has never had a gf and still lives at his moms house also likes Naruto. Do I feel like a geek now for watching the same show? Uhm no. In actuality I like the fact that anime can be so diverse that so many DIFFERENT ppl are watching it. But hey thats just me, I could be wrong.

Well, naruto is a great series (tough i didnt watch the filler) and since i read the manga first i have been wating for like 2 years for shippuuden, now its here and i cant say anything else then that i love it, kinda dissapointed since the manga is better but still it is 20 minutes of decent entertainment for each episode, thats better than nothing, and if you have no clue about all the other fantastic anime's aviable im sure that i would think naruto is the best ever
