Girly Manga Guys

yeah he's talking about bishounen those types of guys are in alot of japanese manga these days because that sort of thing is trendy in japan guys that have a face thats almost like a pretty girls face is attractive there... so its no wonder that plenty of manga is like that since mangaka's want girls to read their shoujo so they put trendy looking characters in it to gain attention to their manga... it seems logical to me...

I guess so, but still, I hate it when my shounen is going along smoothly and then BAM! a bishounen shows up. That just ruins the whole expierence.

haha i know what you mean but thats sort of the way mangaka's make fun of those sorts of characters because usually in a shounen manga they make fun of the bishounen by giving him an annoying, stuck-up, egotistical personality and yes it sucks but it gives the story line spice as well as the normal not so good looking guy readers confidence (seeing as how most manga readers are not fabios myself included)

I guess we can't get everything. Just as long as my manga doesn't go from shounen to shojo in two pages. If I wanted that, I could just pick up a Shojo manga instead. It might be better... Laughing

lol well i find that most manga's that i enjoy come from a males perspective because you dont have that factor involved in the story line i mean if its from a female perspective the male characters could change from shounen to bishounen which is retarded to me but manga from a males perspective usually only has bishoujo characters involved so i guess it would be bias to say that about manga's written from a female perspective... oh well...

are there any pretty boy's in manga for guys? since im a girl i usually read things like saiyuki. lol. i love saiyuki. those four guys are the sweetest bishounen ever!!! especially genjo sanzo and sha gojyo ^_^

then.....*clomps "L" and Raito*

then....waits for someone to answer my question ... are there any pretty boy's in manga for guys?

yes it is getting to be ridiculous. anime/manga male characters are starting to be more girly. for example the guy name Shin Sawada in Gokusen (manga and TV serie), the guy friend of the main character in Onegai Twins, one of the 5 henchman of Freeza, Gundam Wing guys, Athrun from Gundam Seed, ect.... I am sick of this trend.

yeah but you have to realize that its a popular look in japan... just because our cultures different doesnt mean they're going to compensate for that... times change in manga and soon you'll probably find that all characters in manga are bishoujo and bishounen...
