Well I am glad that I am not alone in thinking SD gundam sucked. I would also Like to give (Dis) honorable mention to Digimon. A knock off of a crappy series (pokemon) that frankly I don't think I could stand to watch a full episode of.
As for FLCL I may not have understood everything that was going on but I liked the crazy chick with guitar so it was at least interesting.
Hellsing I thought was cool but hey to each their own some people even like digimon and SD gundam ... god help them... who am I to judge.

Umm, I didn't really like Trigun, but maybe I just didn't have enough patience trying to understand it or I watched it too few episodes. But it didn't really impress me much. Weiss Kreuz was also boring...

And Meine Liebe. It kinda pisses me off because I'm a huge fan of Yuki Kaori's works, and now she went ahead and did characters designs for that kind of crap. Well, in fact, Meine Liebe WAS a game first, so I don't really know if it is any good. Anime is, however, pretty sad. I somehow like the characters, but they have almost absolutely no expressions at all. And the plot is full of cliches too. Only good thing about Meine Lieve is that you can make up nice shounen-ai-pairings since all five main characters are boys.

The post retarded anime's are translated by Americans for North America. Pokemon, digimon, dbz, shaman king... those had potential for viewers but they were ruined by bad translating and voices.

Oh man, while there's a lot of good anime, there's also a lot of stinkers.

Probably Yu-Gi-Oh would of course be up there, as has been mentioned so much. I personally hated the Chobits anime (although the manga is one of my favorites... it made me sad). In the same vein, the Azumanga Daioh anime pales in comparison to the manga.

It's a shame when they take a wonderful manga and make a low-quality anime, y'know?

A split between yu-gi-oh and Super Milk-chan. I have no clue why Cartoon Network thought it would be cool to put such a piece on the air. Some of what people have listed in this thread (.hack, trigun, Serial Experiments Lain) is quite good. But your tastes have to match it. Much like I hate fighter games but theres plenty of people who will tell you that X game is great.

I personally think .Hack//Sign was awful. The first 10 episodes, I have it a chance, yet nothing interested me. It was a waste of time.
