PS2 all the way. I love RPG's and fighting games, and the PS2 has the best and the most of these genres. Plus all the other games are pretty damn good as well.

i go for nintendo, its true this last console lacks RPG's wich is a shame since i LOVE rpg, but it still has some really good games(and im not counting the party games nor the multiplayers), and also, the few rpgs are actually quite good: baten kaitos is huge, tales of symphonia is wonderful and the zelda series kickass

other great games gc has and ppl kinda forget em are: Bloody roar primal fury(extreme), SSBM, it still got soul calibur 2 (and you can play link! yay!)and fire emblem: path of radiance, it has resident evil 4 too, it even got bloodrayne, and the prince of persia series...a lot of good games ppl tend to forget just because theyre not major names, besides i really think its the best option since its not totally unaffordable, and its still quite powerful, also nintendo has also been (in my experience) the most user friendly, ive never had any problem with controllers or consoles or anything, so its worth its price.

i have GC and i intend on buying a ps2, just so i can get my hands on all those rpgs i havent yet played, but my fave is still GC, though i have to admit ive always been a nintendo-loyal customer (cant get enough of the portables)

GC i think is the best because its got all the classic games such as SSMB, mario parties, Legend of Zelda games and the best game series Metroid Prime. Although Ps2 is good, i think it is because of its extensive game list including the GTA series and Xbox is because of Halo and Halo 2. So.. it really depends on the person
