so many ppl think so? just read on... but it gets better...
however it seems naruto's not even half way yet?
and he's just using rasengan over and over and over and over ... sigh...
bleach is OK ... not as overrated as naruto, but not as good as naruto either its funny though.. how much it resembles dbz.. the dialogue at least
'u cant beat me i am too strong for you hahaha'
2 eps later
'i cant believe you beat me.. you are strong... but you wont survive if you keep going, because im the weakest in my squad'
repeats every 5 episodes
Too many people liken Naruto, insanely overrated. But now with the fillers, it got sucky. Bleach on the other hand is a great mix of action, drama, and bits of humor. Bleach FTW!

Ok, whoever says Love Hina and Ichigo 100% are overrated, then they either must be a real duh-duh-duh or has never read the manga. It's just a bit overrated not that much. But they're still good. What i think are overrated is Hellsing. Too much compliments!!!!!!

1) Ichigo 100%
I'm glad some people find Ichigo 100% overrated.
i gave this one a really big try, as i tend to do with popular manga's. I couldn't extract one shred of enjoyment from this one...Harem mangas aren't usually my cup of tea and in this manga i could only find example after of example that epitomised the reason why i tend to dislike harem mangas.
2) Berserk
I don't find this one anywhere near as overrated as Ichigo 100% because i can read it and enjoy it. However, it certainly is nowhere near my favourite mangas. I would only rate it a bit above average.
Ichigo 100% - unoriginal soap opera
Love Hina - a ripped off soap opera
DBZ - too repetitive
Inuyasha - allright, kinda like Dragon Ball
Naruto - started to become like DBZ
All of the CLAMP series - good drawing, lacking in story depth
Gundam series - loved the machines, but it gets tedious to read (somewhat overrated, not as much though...)
I don't dislike Gundams, I personally a gundam fan, but I don't feel that the gundam series are that great
The drawings is the thing that really sucked..so I'd rather watch it. _________________ If you act like a whore, then you must BE a whore, you dumb shit!

I think most of you are confusing manga you hate, which happen to be popular and manga that are clearly overrated.
Some people said DBZ was an overrated manga when Im almost 100% sure they are referring to the anime. It basically made the shounen manga genre what it is today. If anything, the DBZ manga is underrated due to the anime tarnishing its quality with the 10 episode stand around and prepare to fight battles.
Ichigo 100% is a quality "harem" manga. Lots of comedy/echii that is to be expected of that type of manga and just when it starts to get repetitive they wrap it up with a very unconventional ending. You might not personally like it, but its still a very good manga.
I think a lot of your overrated manga's are judging them on length / extra volumes that came out later (or publisher made put out) / etc. Bleach early chapters arent especially good (like first 10) but it quickly turns into an excellent shounen manga until the end of Soul Society arc. After that, I would definitely call it overrated as the current stuff seems tacked on / less thought out and probably a factor of its popularity and needing a new story to keep it going. Naruto suffers from this as well with the current time skip. It was slow and not overly special for the first dozen or so chapters but quickly picked up speed for a quality shounen with a hero that wasnt stupidly overpowered and found unique ways to win fights versus superior opponents with his shadow clones. Near the end of pre-time skip it turned into nine tails power up fights and the post time skip stuff is pretty much DBZ with ninjas (nothing like naruto himself and not even a frog summon destroying an entire forest). So yes, they are both currently overrated or if you only read like the first 5 chapters. But to call the entire series overrated based on that is a bit wrong imo.
Love Hina was great until the 10th or so volume and despite the quality of the ending volumes, it still was responsible for the general formula most harem manga follow to this day (yes it didnt invent harem, but it set the bar a lot higher then most published up til that point).
To me, the only overrated manga I can think of is Gantz. Once I got over the gore / nudity / zomg they killed everyone factor, there is basically little to no story progression (still vague / no answers on what is going on, what the aliens are doing there, wtf is with the vampires, etc) and pretty much every character you meet has no development as the minute they do or say something, they are killed off by the end of the arc. Yes its cool to watch everyone get slaughtered and see how the heck they will win that fight, but after seeing it like 10 times in a row, it gets old fast. So yes, while its got good art, neat premise, it seriously lacks any tangible plot and character development for me for having read over 230 some odd chapters.
Tenjou Tenge is another. Its more of a guilty pleasure just watching Oh Greats art then anything. While it was pretty good for the first half, its pretty much retarded by the time reverse super saiyan Souichiro comes into play, yet its still pretty highly regarded, mainly for the echii factor and cool fights.
So while I personally like both of these series, they are really undeserving of how much praise either gets imo. I think a lot made judgements based on anime versions as well or comparing manga that are 10-15 years old to stuff coming out now that is basically ripping off the older stuff and / or improving on it which isnt fair. Its like saying Evangelion was a terrible anime yet it had insane animation for the time and one of the first compelling / emotional / philisophically engaging storylines in animes and was truely revolutionary mainly because you are comaring it to something that came out last year that had less emo, more focus, better budget and basically built off everythign Eva did. Context and time frame are a major factor that many are ignoring for these "overrated" posts.
