Doesn't someone have to buy them for everyone else to get them free?
Anyway, I finished this series and I don't think the crow thing was a reincarnation. Think about it, when everything was going on, Sora was never there. I think when Sora reappeared all the events to see Yukito(himself) and Misuzu go through all those conversations so Sora can be the next generation to look for the sad girl in the sky because since Yukito basically disappeared, how was he going to have everyone continue looking for her?
Thats exactly the reason why they never showed the crow to begin with. They wanted to show the relationship of Misuzu and Yukito developed first. Then afterwards, they wanted to show it was after Yukito was done. If you've played the game, you'd have a more thorough understanding of it. And it really does make quite the difference for the people who don't understand the story and those who do. It basically generates around the idea of the life cycle, that being reincarnation as a very crucial symbol. He is redeemed into a crow, where he stands as a remediator for the unfold of events that happen to Misuzu. After, at the last scene, we see the 2 children standing at the beach, thus fully returning the cycle of life. The other half of the winged being returned to the sky, and Yukito was able to continue to search for her. But the major thing was that when Misuzu was able to claim her goal, she was able to break free of the curse of bad dreams. Notice why she died?
For the person who posted above, you're missing the reason to it. People buy the DVD isntead of dling the fake is because they want to be original. Not always being a leecher, they really like it and want to purchase the real DVD. I like AIR enough to do this, so its my own personal gain.

very very well said.. i dont think i could have put it better even if i tried. This is a great anime. At first i couldnt really understand the whole thing with the crow but after some time i understood. I think I will also buy the original dvd for this anime

Hmm I like this anime myself I havent watched all the eps. i am at eps.8 i think its wierd its not the peeps before but some peeps in the past ! and I wonder if I shouldve spent my money on other anime ! its good but it way up there on the wierdo meter ! and can some one please explain the crow cause that game dont exist in america and i dont have modded game consoles !
The crow really isn't wierd at all. It's an easy understanding but the ending leaves viewers on a unfinushed cliffhanger(like Elfen Lied). We made several post to explain the crow situation just 1 or 2 post above you.
I really wish people would try to make an effort to read other post before they start asking these questions. Damn. _________________

AIR has a great story and almost everything is top-motch.
Music, Characters, story= all top-notch (for me). at firts it's kinda boring but some forum members(other forums) says that it's good...so I tried it. and I was never dissapointed. _________________ PS3 Trophies
OMG i just finished air a couple days ago and i thought the story was great and it was so sad ;_; the animation, story, character development were all great one of my favorite anime's now.
man, this show HURT my heart. I've never been really touched by any show/movie, but wow, in the last couple episodes, I did have to fight back the tears, lest anyone find out. And ths is coming from a 19 yr old, male college kid majoring in engineering. That's about as unemotional as people come.
The storyline was great, it was a good way to see through it once more to understand things more clearly but the animation wasn't as good as it was in the anime.
Still, very satisfying since the standards set by the series for me was high. The movie was just a little under those standards, thats all.
