Yeah, I was thinking thats not fair for Nintendo, I mean, once they have a good game like resident evil 4, they let sony take it, and make it better so that everyone will forget about Nintendo, again.

but you can't forget that capcom is loyal to sony, it's not like they want make nintendo dim from the spotlight, it's just that RE has always been for the play station consoles. It is only expected that the series return to it's "rightful" owner. As far as Nintendo goes, hey at least they have alot of good platformers and they have a strong line up of games, such as Zelda: Twilight Princess. Alot of fan boys are still loyal to nintendo so don't fret too much. Nintendo is already preparing for the next gen and are already thinking of up comming games for the new Nintendo Revolution which will hopefully have more RE games.

I wonder how much better can RE 4 look on PS2 since it is slightly weaker on graphics than the Nintendo Game Cube. I think that the RE series never was a console exclusive and Capcom always tried to pull more money from the series by making ports into many different consoles. If you think of it there is no console exept for the X-Box that never had a RE game on it.
PSX had 1, 2, 3 and some Resident Evil Survivor games
Saturn hat 1
PC had 1, 2 and 3
Dreamcast had 2 and Code Veronica
Gameboy Colour had Resident Evil Gaiden
N64 had 2 (and almost zero)
PS2 had Codeveronica X, Outbrake Games, Resident Evil Survivor and gets now 4
Nintendo Gamecube had 0, 1 Remake, 2, 3, 4 and Code Veronica

So I don't see why people should get upset. It always was so and I guess always will be so with Capcon and RE games

KamiNoSeigi, you are wrong. Capcom had a deal with Nintendo to bring Resi exclusively to Ninty's console, as well as Viewtiful Joe, PNO3 (or whatever) and Killer 7, but they still are sheduled for a PS2 release. This is all on Nintendo, since it's their own fault for letting Capcom go so easily. It's not that they belonged to Nintendo, but they had som excluve games headed for GameCube, and still they managed to get them on PS2 to.

I'm saying that the RE franchise was always for the Play Station. Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil: Directors cut all debute on the play station. Capcom decided to take a risk and release Resident Evil 2 on the Nintendo 64 (which was considered to be a 'family console'). The game did not sell well on the 64. After they went back to Sony and released RE:3 and it was able to capture back its' original fan base. Soon after Gamecube came out and showed that it had a stronger graphics engine than the PS2. This apt for rereleases of RE:3 and a new Resident Evil:0. But they chose to do this after their failure on the DreamCast with memorable games of Resident Evil: Code Veronica, which was released again for the PS2 and had a bigger effect.

From this Capcom saw that the RE franchise was strongest with PlayStation and PlayStation2 console. However, the graphics engines of the two consoles again made Capcom choose the GameCube to release their RE:4 title. The game did very well, and so to stay loyal to the PS fan base they are releasing a downgraded version of RE:4.

For further conclusion, RE:5 (there's a forum about it), is being released on the PS3 for the sole reason of the fondation it has created while working with the Sony company.

So, Vyse, you're wrong.
