yeah in my opinion 70dollars are just to damn much for some games _________________ The path of light is laid, the sacred test,

id pay 70$ for most games right now, and most people are buying collectors editions for that much so i dont think people will have much of a problem. i wonder how much budget titles would cost...

I have to admit that $70 is a bit steep for a game. However, if you look at what it takes for a game to be released, like others have pointed out, it doesn't seem that unreasonable. Especially when you consider the type of hardware it takes to develop some of the better games that are going to be released. The more complicated a game is the more man hours needed to be spent to make sure that the game is running good enough to be introduced to the public.
Anyway it's times like this I'm thankful there's Gamefly. Right now I'm paying $30/month for 3 games with no due date. If I played games the way I used to I could easily blow through 4-6 games a month. If I would've bought those games retail that's anywhere between $120-$300 a month. I don't doubt the prices will get a little higher once the next gen systems/games come out but I can't complain.
EDIT: Sorry for the gamefly plug but it really is pretty awesome.
