| I have both, and I like both, but the DS just a bit more. PSP has quite a bit happening in the emulation scene, and the DS has those killer apps coming on later in the year. (Mario Kart!!) |

| No doubt its the PSP. It is more portable and has more functions like an MP3 player and can also watch movie. Now I admit that the price is still a little expensive but its still much more efficient. |

| psp wins for sure, it comes with normal games thats more suitable for adults or better yet people that like action etc. type of games, DS is just like a kids fun version. |

You can only watch movies on the PSP if it is on a UMD disc (which is not the same size as DVDs...think Gamecube discs, but a bit smaller perhaps), or if you convert an avi file into a mpeg4 file and then create some folders in your PSP memory card.
DS can play GBA games also..and I disagree with the DS being a kids version, just because of the characters. If I'm not mistaken, the DS has that Brain Training for adults game, and that game alone is succeeding quite nicely in Japan sale charts. Besides, even if the DS is a kiddy console at heart, its selling and it works. That's one of the main goals in the video game industry.
Also right now for the PSP, none of the games are really for adults either, (but I haven't spent time on buying PSP games, just watching the emulation scene for it) but I guess you can say GTA will be one of the suitable games for PSP.
Ok, end mini rant. |

| I'm a nintendo loyalist so its DS all the way, but I do have a fear that nintendo is being pushed out of the games market, I'll have to wait and see how the two systems develop. |

| on the up side the ds is cheaper but 100 dollars but the games are really bad and the grafix as well. on the other hand the psp had better games and grafix but the battery life is poor for videos and the psp has more functions such as video player, mp3 player, and playes games. |

| Although I don't like PSP that much, I find Nintento DS is rather more a disappointment than a success. |

Last time I checked Kirby Canvas Curse was really good, along with Nintendogs and Meteos. o_O Then we can't forget about Jump Superstars... |

Neither.
I´ve never be attracted for portatil console cause I think they need much too improve. Portatil market has been domain by years with nintendo´s gameboy, I´ve always be consider it pointed to childrens (even was better SEGA Gamegear, at least this one can be consider equivalent to master system). Think that hardware evolution has been always a few years behind than the other videogame systems, perhaps by the fact they have to be a cheap hardware (point to kids). The gameboy advance doesn´t improve too much: the game are no truly 3D, seems the always sprite games.
The new ones: Nintendo DS: the graphics still are not good enough (must be compared with for example gamecube). Improve with new game modes. Dont find usefull the two screens...
PSP: the better the screen, big and clear (sure waste a lot of batteries). good graphics but still not could be compared with the PS2 (although someones says are similar). Don´t think so: could have detailed graphics, but then the scenerarys are poor (couldnt manage so many polygons as the PS2).
Conclusion: Better play with a good console on big screen. If wanna spend sometime (waiting the bus) playing, use the cellular and the classic games: dont need great graphics neither great processors, and probably are funniest than most of the new portatil games... or buy a penUSB mp3 player and listen music wherever whenever |
