in fact.... Kawachi's earring IS on the WRONG ear. It's on his RIGHT ear on the Anime.

I'm pretty sure the artist added the LEFT earring later on the Manga. I only noticed a left earring after he went to the Afro-church-house. It was on his right ear for most the manga...

It's amazing how many people in America will assume someone is gay just because they look feminie or act a certain way. I read the entire comic as it was posted and they thought that any of ther characters were homosexual never crossed my mind. First off, the kids are all like under 18, the main character is 15 fer pete's sake. That's hardly enough time to hit puberty let along figure out your sexual orientation. And we have to remember that this comic is made by an actual asian person, and many asians don't become huge, hairy, and beefy like many americans. And they're more in tune with thier emotions, and two men can have great respect of love for one another, but not be attarcted either emotionally or physically. Most of us americans are emotionally stunted by TV and school. Totally different cultures.

To sum up. No, not gay.

Like mentioned previously, I think it's a case of culture clash too. In the orient, we tend to call people "gay" (as in not "manly") by their actions and what they truly stand for, not by their superficial appearances.

I think the whole point of these quirks though is to just make it sort of trippy and a little more memorable. Wink

I think it's just how you look at it. Girls hug each other all the time but that doesn't mean that they are gay does it? As long as they dont make any advances on me then I don't care if they are gay anyways.
