Dunno why, but I'm not so bothered about the European cup this year. Maybe because of our crap performances in previous tournaments... although England vs. Argentina was well worth waiting for. Sheringham hitting the post was the highlight of the tournament for me. Would have been better still had it gone in, though. Cool

Yeah, ok, S.Korea getting to the semis was nice too Smile

But still, we always start off badly then pull our socks up for the next match. Let's hope next one's better... Confused

No.. The last major international tournament was the world cup, was it not? Cool

Besides, it's a good opportunity to rub salt into manny's wounds Twisted Evil

I can't even remember Euro2000, it was so shit. I think we got kicked out during the knock-out phase. Boooring.

Anyway, I don't really expect us to do very well. We're lucky to have made it to the competition at all. It's a shame really because, individually, the England players are pretty damn good. New management pleease!

Well perhaps if the British captain had decided not to wed an attention-seeking-"not a nice word to describe this woman" and let her control and shape him into a media-attention-seeking hound, but instead remained faithful under Ferguson and developed his skills further to become one of the best footballers now, rather than waddle around now with so much potential untapped (and possibly lost), he could have inspired England to a better showing! *pant pant, let me catch my breath*

Nah... England simply is not a powerhouse now. In fact the team is definitely inferior to Bobby Robson's England squad IMO.

Looking forward to hopefully a great match in Germany vs Holland. Will there be spitting again?! Or will Holland's infighting spew forth on the pitch?! Should be an exciting match to watch! Yay!

I would say unless the Dutch decided that it is more fun to fight against each other on the pitch, they have equal chance against Germany.

Generally German-Holland matches are exciting to watch. The deep rivalry tends to increase the pace and determination of the players. Of course when it boils over, you also get some mighty funny entertainment. Frank Rijkaard vs Rudi Voller, that was classic!!!

I am a Man U supporter i to be honest they aren't half as good as they were in the 20th century and before

the only euro i remember is 96....i dunno about u but i thought it was quite good the thing i liked most were these clapping things u get from mcdonald's it was great u shake it and it claps for u whilst u watch euro 96 on tv and i also remember a stupid woody the wood pecker thing as the logo for euro 96

those were the good days when the england team was decent(or maybe it was just all the other teams sucked)

The French drew against Crotia, and England thumped the Swiss, England now has a pretty good chance of going into the quarters.
