zone of the enders and viewtiful joe has already been turned to animes so thats two games i can srike off my list , so what else? ..hmm
i guess i'd like to see a GOOD anime based on chrono trigger, and also there is a game i doubt many will know it it's called silent bomber, it was on ps1, i think that it wouldn't be too bad as an anime if it was done right..

xenosaga WAS made into an anime... and well, it made me cry... and not in the happy good-story kinda way. more like a oh-haruhi-why-did-I-waste-my-time-with-this kinda way _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

In my defense towards liking xenosaga, xeno:
I've never played the game before. It has some of the same elements though, right? (I obviously wouldn't know) _________________

well, ive played tow games with xeno in the title, Xenosega and XenoGears, both are co-directed by the same person for some reason, but both are very different, XenoSega being more like and anime, where all you really did was control the battles/boss fights.
The video parts of the game are very well done, but in all three games, (ep. 1/2/3) the battle system is lacking very, its pretty much set up like this
wait a turn>attack two times and use special, or attack once and use special> heal if need be>wait a turn (repet till opponect dies)
(Mech battles)
Mechs in this game had very few options to begin with, you really choulnt get any special mech wepons, and the bosses neer the end of the game seamed to have a strong defence aganst most of your gun wepons, only really being hurt by melee class, but only 2 differnt types of melee mech wepons where in the game. plus the mechs had no special moves.
Xenogears had a better battle system, and have some very good video segments, even though it was a PS 1 game, its battle system was a little more complex, but gave you a feeling of more control and freedom to experminte.
Basicly in Xgears you used three buttons to attack, Triangle, Square, and X. any combo you can think of that involves X as the finnisher was a speacil move, but u only have 8 attack points (at end of game, 3 at start) and different buttons used different points, Triangle used 1, Square used 2, and X used 3. (Circle whould cancel)
The mech system was also a little more complex for a ps1 game, with each mech haveing its own wepon, armor, fuel system, and engine, but these mechs let you use speical moves as well.
I can go into more detail on any of the items i have covered, so just ask if i left you clueless _________________ Who said the dead wouldnt rise again?!?

I guess it's kinda the same complaints that people who read a manga and then watch the anime totally destroy everything about it. I only saw the first 4 episodes before I couldn't stand it any longer, but this is what I noticed:
- the art was horrible in the anime. The videogame was so beautiful with the 100% CGI. Given that I know animes aren't usually given the same budget, I would have overlooked that, but the character designs were poor and the backgrounds were drawn very lazily.
- the story seemed pretty similiar, but they cut out ALL of my favorite action scenes during the attack on the Woglinde. Again, I wouldn't expect the two media to be carbon copies, but the anime was completely devoid of all the things that made the ps2 version cool.
- also regarding story, wasn't the anime only 13 episodes? I don't see how they could have possibly done anything as epic as the 3-game series (about 100 hours of in-game movies).
yeah, I know most of my complaints are petty, but as a fan of the game, I was only disappointed. Overall though, looking at it as a seperate entity (that is, pretending I never played the game), it still failed to grasp me. I say, if you have the time, play at least through the first game (you can get it for twenty bucks now). There's also a companion-disk that has just the movies, but even that cut out some of the coolest scenes. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

all of those ARE animes
aside from Star Ocean, the others have many series and OVAs surrounding the properties. Search the Anime Reviews section to see

Oh, but they didn't. They only covered the first of the three parts, I think (again, I don't know the start/end for each part).

I have no PS2 to play it with. And my money is already being used for two other games. _________________

I would love to see a finished Xenosaga Episode II and EPECIALLY an anime version of Episode III. But the animation would have to at least try to look like the game, unlike Xenosaga : The Animation. They changed it to a style that I was not that fond of. _________________ Miku Miku!!
