I'm not a big fan of ID, so it was kind of my 1st time watching, but I like this movie because it is a big difference from your typical HK film. Also, the father character, I don't know how he is like in the manga, but I like the father character in the movie. Though, it was a good movie. The 2nd time through was kind of a yawner. Not to get your hopes too high up, you'll only be disspointed in the end, but I like how the ending leads into a sequel.

Edison is cool? Well..anyway..try search for it from the site...I havent found one yet and i prefer to watch it in cinema for the maximum effect and sounds system!!!!! Twisted Evil

Oh yeah...heads up on the characters...

Edison(Ryosuke) and Shawn(the R32 guy, Nakamura??) acts really gay.... I don't think they were trying to be gay, but they look gay.

quite disappointing. Failures on characters (Jay Chow do not know how to act), story and music( what happen to eurobeat?).

PS:
I sent a synopsis for the live action movie but it seems that it was sent to the first stage instead. Management error?

where are the manga and anime set?? in japan right ?why make a movie with hk actors

All i can say is that don't bother to watch it, half the actors totally are CMI (Cannot Make It). Edison portraying as Takahashi Ryosuke was a total mistake, Jay Chou is another total disappointment, he can't sing and he can't act.

Stick to the anime and manga version of Initial D is much better.
