| Japanese manga vs American manga, the winner is Japnese manga then. There is no way American manga is better. No way! |

| Japanese manga tend to have more details and have more variety of different genres and story plots than American mangas. Japanese manga have mangas that suits everyone's tastes while most American mangas are somewhat predictable and each volume is like the hero defects the villian end of story -__-'. |

| american manga tend to suck hard and fast imho. they try too hard to be like the japanese version and you occationaly get one that was drawn by someone who can barely hold a pen. they should stick to what they are good at, western style comics. |

What is american manga? What's that thing????
Well, if the goal is to put americanized stories with a "manga look-and-feel" (bigger eyes, using of SD in humor moments...), well... I think that that is somehing that may be worth trying; that would be something that would be between american comics and japanese manga...
However, most of the time I like japanese (manga and anime) because there is a kind of sadness that can only too rarely be seen elsewhere... and I like this kind of sadness, the simple fact that not everything ends well... |

| i would say the japanese manga would be better but i am curious to see wat the american mangas are like since im sure there would be more inside jokes i would understand betta but japanes manga also has so many crazy story lines that american manga prob couldnt duplicate like midori no hibi lol |

I hav read plenty of western manga, there are only a little that like
the main reason is because the story is to pretty hard to understand and that goes for the drawing n dialog
i hav to put more energy to concentrate to read western manga
i really hate to read spawn, the drawing is good but the layout is badd
and for the japanese manga, its more simple than the western
but that dont mean lack of quality
although its simple, its hav panty i mean plenty of awesome artwork |

Japanese, all the way. Have you seen how they raped Naruto? Kage Bunshin no Jutsu == Art of The Shadow Doppelganger? WTF? So much good stuff is lost in translation. Official English manga blows. Fanlated is good. (Unless you read it in Japanese, you either read fanlations or official native manga.)

| I prefer japanese manga because american manga seems like its too childish and has way too simple plots |

| I like Japanese manga, because there are more stories to choose from and they tend to be more complex. But if you are looking for a great American manga, Stan Sakai's "Usagi Yojimbo" is very good. Check it out on UsagiYojimbo.com - the Rabit Ronin has been around for 20 years. |
