I like the japanese manga better. Don't really know why, it's just always been that way for me. ^ ^

as far as i can tell the japanese manga includes all aspects of life while the american comics lean toward big ecplosins and violence and sex and the heor always comes out on top ( as far as i can tell)

Even though American manga is getting better as artist find their own techniques, it's still far behind the japanese market as of now. I would say in the future (as in 10 years from now) American manga artist will have their own techniques an draw and create great stories.

Japanese Manga tends to have a more cooler storyline than American Manga. What captivates me is the storyline, as long as American Manga steers from that "save the world" crap that I see a lot today, it's bound to catch my eye.

Well, how about someone give us some good examples of American manga?

MegaTokyo and Peach Fuzz are the only two I can think of...*sigh* And I haven't read Peach Fuzz perhaps I'll check it out from the library...

if u mean american manga as dc and marvel comics, american manga has better art and detail i believe but jap manga just has better plots because they tend to develop every character rather than just the main character.

All japanese comics are manga - and only japan comics are true manga.

They do not have that same "manga-style" in their comics (of course their pictures are full of sweet big eyes and lovely girls BUT also those which are drawn by another way are manga, ne?).

In here (well I live in Finland and cannot talk about America) people talk about manga-style and most of them think that all manga is drawn that same way (even it is not). MY and my pics are full of thigs i have learnt by reading manga, but it is not manga after all - it is a picture by me. But even I say im trying to draw manga-style ( Embarassed ) when i get lazy or do not have time to explain.

So, can I really say I like japanese manga more than other comics, becouse sure some others are better than some japanese. If i would say, it sounds like i like manga just becouse it is japanese - and it is not true, or is it?

Manga is something that i can found out here also with real story, not just little one page comic, and witch

And sure i love that so-called manga-style also (umm...). Thats the real point - most mangas (not all as i expained) can tell everything with eyes. And from japan, there comes more better comics that anywhere else. Maybe it is becouse they have drawn comics for older that 10 longer than us. I dunno.

Yeah im just great explainer with my english.

hey those artists are amazing. i'd give them a high five if i see those guys. american/japanese whatever. it's all in style and delivery. japan has been pumping out manga long before it has been poping up here in the US. its a big change and most of the influences that we have in the US are the western comics. so these guys have taken what they know, turned it into 'manga' style and made us these home made comics.

we all love manga here. all the art and story work that makes it. and these artists have taken that step toward their goals and mixed a manga/comic. amen to that

also i'd like to see more licensed manga over here. the ones we have are kinda weak. i mean i never knew about gantz until i found it here. or deathnote. or 'Japan'. we have 1 vol of FMA and i suppose the next one is coming. we need to get more
