American manga/comics have too much censorship on it. They just need to create a ESRB like rating system on it so that little kids cant buy violent stuff. At least that way, they dont have to censor all of the violence.

American is more for children. Japnese is for the whole age group

I would have to say that if I were to chose between american or japanese, I would go for Japanese.
I say this just becoz manga is still relatively new to america and england.
But its obvious that at some point in the future we won,t be able to tell the difference.
In France thier is already `la nouvelle manga' starting.
And lets not forget that anime/manga woz at first heavly influenced by Walt Disney.

i find the storylines are much better in japanese manga then that of american manga due to the fact that they can be more twisted/violent/artistic ect then the amercan manga are daring to go due to censorship.

American comics are well.. not as deep compared to Japanese manga. Japanese manga can make it feel like you're actually in it too. Sort of like a fantasy. However, English comics lacks in that department.
