Has anyone read this great manga? It's translated by Snoopycool, so that means its a good manga. It's basically about some chinese folktales which are changed around for the manga.. i suggest you go out and read if you have'nt done so already! Smile

would love to read houshin... just never found the time to. dl and read >.> the idea of rewriting the original chinese myth was really interesting... and thx for the link! Smile

I've read the Chinese version and watched the anime before.

Found that the manga was interesting at the beginning but slowly i begin to lose my interest as there were too much talking and battle (reminds me of Dragon Ball). Still, there are a lot of plot twists which will confuse and torture your minds.

The anime however has many scenes which are not included in the manga. Storyline is also quite different from the manga so i suggest watch the anime and then read the manga.

The manga to me is one of the more interesting mangas I have ever read. If you love Chinese classics, and you are able to accept the modernistic twist, you would likely appreciate the path taken. The characters developed in it are fairly unique, and the story taken is epic, with comical, tense, and sad moments.

Forget the anime. If you read the reviews on it here, you will have a notion of why I say so. The anime is a weak take on the genius of the manga.

yea i like the manga also , i think the character development in manga is better and it has better storyline compare to anime

Yeah I like this manga, I dont know about the anime since i have never seen it. This was a pretty good read eventhough sometimes i got bore of the talking but I still think it was great. While they were talking I was always like common start to fight and when the main charactered started to fight I was like DAmn this guy sucks his going to get his but whooped, shouldnt he be strong or something. This manga also made me laugh a lot. I would really recommend this manga.

The beginning of the manga was really slow paced..what with all the plot development, character expanding and whatnot. Eventually (i think about volume 16-17) the storyline is more 'traditional' with the fights happening much more frequently, but overall it was a good read in the end. Glad I stuck the 23 volumes out Very Happy

yea this manga was funny ^^
and i like how the story developed especially like taikoubou and ou enki is one entity
i found out that was very interesting ^^
it make me want to read and read it again
and i also like the ending

I really enjoyed this manga, and I found that it was fun to read, the story was interesting with some good plot twists.

I read the manga and watched the anime. The manga was much better than the anime, but I liked them both. The manga is cool, I could say it's a classic. Ryu Fujisaki is one of my favorite mangakas. I liked the ladies a lot, especially Dakki-chan. There used to be some good sites around the net, I can only remember bunnyhat.com.
