Well im not chinese but my culture was said to had originated from a small part of china and I found it really interesting how you guys say chicken in chinese cuz my culture says it almost exactly the same. I would really like to go to china town one day and learn some chinese, pronouncing and memorizing words isn't really hard for me except i cant read or write my own language which i think is really sad.

Well, as far as I know, I'm full Chinese, but I don't know much about China, and I don't know how to speak any dialects or write any characters Crying or Very sad

I considered taking Mandarin this past school year, but I decided it would probably be too hard for me...
However, I'm currently taking Asian History in Summer School, so I'm getting to learn more about China, yay. Oh, also, my middle name is Yun-Mung, which apparently means "Bright" given to me by my Tai Po (or however ya spell that). Dunno if that counts as my "Chinese name", whatever.
Edit: Oh yeah, I live in Hawaii.

Chinese here...Grew up in Malaysia and moved to Australia to study. I speak mandarin, foochow and hokkien. Twisted Evil

Hi all~ Im Cinese too from Malaysia,but kinda banana, can't write chinese but do speak well Mandarin,Cantonese,Hokkien and lil Hakka.

I'm Filipino -Chinese...can't speak, write, read though...the only thing I know to write without fail is my chinese name(Si Chih Ming)...I don't know how to type it in the computer though... any help here? I want to at least know to type may name in chinese. I look more chinese than filipino.

the weird thing is...I understand japanese more than chinese...maybe because I wasn't paying attention to my chinese class when I was in gradeschool...ehehe
