Hi, I'm a Chinese gal from Malaysia
I'm chinese as well, but I speak very little of my language. If I were talking to you in chinese, half of it would be in english. I was born and raised in Canada.

What language do they speak in Malaysia?

it s a lot of memorizing. I hate that stuff.
But its not that hard...it'll just take a few years
a few years you saw? I think it's more like half of your life...
but it depends on how good you are at memorizing each character or the correct pronunciation and way of writing it. I think it' called calligraphy in english. not sure myself _________________ PS3 Trophies

Calligraphy's fancy writing. And yes, Chinese writing is hard because of the order of the strokes you write the character with is important. So you have to memerize that as well. _________________ you can only be young once

The strokes don't have to be in order, as long as the final product/symbol is identifiable. You wouldn't be able to tell which strokes were done in order anyway.

Well, once you've master them, it's actually quite easy! But, I've forgot most of them already... can read, can't write...

If the strokes aren't in order, the character won't look good. If you think its that easy to hide that fact you didn't write it correctly, then try it yourself. It's not that easy. _________________ you can only be young once

Doesn’t really matters though, whether you write the line first, or the dot first.

....I'd prefer to write it in order since it's much easier that way...and just by seeing each character gives you an idea on how to properly do it. an Instinct maybe? and I agree that it won't look right when you don't do it in order. _________________ PS3 Trophies

By the looks of your first 2 words, you're manderin.
---
It doesn't matter which strokes you put down first. Nobody will notice wish you've done first or not. As long as the finished symbol is a word, you've written correctly.

Well, when I first learned them, the teachers were always so strict about which stroke go first, and which second... anyway, as long as the final word looks good, should all be ok...

Yeah, not like you can tell which strokes you made first or not unless they're looking right over your head as you right them.
Yeah... but if you use one of the special brush (the Chinese still practice them), then, it's easy to tell which stroke you wrote first, which is second.
