I can read and write and speak Cantonese, a lil bit Mandarin, a lil bit Hakka. I oughta learn Mandarin, so I can easily go to mainland or taiwan...

For those who can't type in Chinese cuz their Windows or other OS doesn't cooperate use:
http://www.njstar.com

Then download the communicator.
After I've chosen the words I copy and paste them in word, so to make sure they can be seen in the internet browser, otherwhise u get weird stuff.

So now u don't have an excuse for not writing Chinese words.
Yeah if u don't know how to use "chiangjie" (an input method) u use pinyin, or cantonese phonetic input....or something else, like handwritten input

Yeah... but if you use one of the special brush (the Chinese still practice them), then, it's easy to tell which stroke you wrote first, which is second.

they used to make me learn that in school, it was so hard. i still have the brush and the ink.

I'm Chinese..but I was born in California and lived here my entire life except for a couple of years in Malaysia and Taiwan, so my English is much better than my Chinese Embarassed I can understand and speak mandarin fairly well, but I can only read and write a small handful of characters. I went to Chinese school during my elementary school years but I quit cause I wasn't doing so well..heh..so now I forogt most of my Chinese. Oh yeah, and I'm currently living in the states. (CA)

Hello there, I'm a chinese too! I'm from Canada, I speak cantonese, french and english. I'm not exactly 100% chinese, I don't know how to explain it but one of my ancestors married with a person form cambodgia (I really dont know how to write it.....), so it makes me some kind of a chinese-cambodgia.... something similar to this.... by the way i'm a newbie, it's the first time for me in a forum, so if you could be so kind as to tell me like how to show your avatar, I would be really grateful!! thx!!!!
