There are quite a lot of software that is good. One of them is Microsoft Frontpage. This one is pretty good, but can be frustrating for someone new to the software.
If you want an easier ones, get Macromedia Dreamweaver. This one is much easier than Frontpage. Both of the software requires a bit of reading from books and internet in order for you to utilise the functions. If you have a bit of html skills, both have html editors where you can code the page directly using the html codes.
I suggest you learn a bit about html codes too. _________________

The best one i've found is notepad, learn the html using notepad, then use dreamweaver, it makes things much easier, and if you are doing a page for a class or something like that and the teacher wants you to do it in notepad and you use something else, then can usually see that _________________ [img:387:120:36cb7a5440]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/idjota/BL.jpg[/img:36cb7a5440] |

| HTML is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is use some terms, and that's all. |

I'd suggest http://www.ultraedit.com/ if you want to learn HTML and require a good text editor with advanced features. Dreamweaver will get you started. You could use the WYSIWYG GUI and peruse the coding. Once you get the hang of it, you can proceed to dabble in CSS and JavaScripts, and nothing can stop you
I'm recommending Dreamweaver over MS Frontpage, solely 'cos Frontpage has a reputation for it's notoriously messy codes.
Also, do note that pages done using Microsoft Frontpage have a tendency to display gibberish on Mozilla Firefox. |

it will be great if you use Dreamweaver MX, as I have Studio MX as well so I can make a cross-platform to other programs such as Fireworks, Flash and Director to aid my web design tasks |

| You can use Dreamweaver or FrontPage. Recommend Dreamweaver because a lot of people like it when they use that software so I guess it's pretty cool. I don't like to use those software to do my page, I prefer pure HTML code... it's easier that ways since those program doesn't work that good when it's come to do PHP and MySQL. |

Also - IBM Homepage builder - the easyest program for me...
Coffecup HTML - very easy
For those 2 you don't need to read Help menu - it's very very simple.
And also - Word.MS Word of some Office pack, could be very helpful
Good luck! _________________ We all are some kind of family |
