One of the main things I dislike about the Read Or Die movie is the Japanese to English, namely the difference between the English subtitles and the English dubbing (Dubing ?).

The main characters of Read or Die I find very likeable, especially Yomiko. Nancy is likeable, but not in the cute way that Yomiko is. From my point of view, Nancy is more likeable in the sense that once you befriend her, you'll depend on her.

Despite being not very popular, Read or Die is something thats good if your looking for something that's uniquely strange.

I enjoyed read or die. I thought it was very interesting, i mean using the paper as a wepon just is really neat (or at least the way they used it)

i dunno..i find it kinda funny how she has the power of well...paper..lol. But whoever created the movie had a creative mind that's 4 sure. I think the movie had a lot of good points...not the best, but it sure wasn't boring. i would probably give it a 7/10. However, i don't like the R.O.D. series....that was just like boresville there, i prefer watching the movie over the series anytime.

First of all, there is no Read or Die movie. Read or Die is a 3 part OVA that was shown on Adult Swim in movie format. It is also one of my two favorite OVAs, the other being FLCL. The action is great, it has aweome characters, and the English dub of the OVA is one of the best I've seen.
The series isn't called Read or Die, it's actually called "R.O.D. the TV". It is also my second favorite series ever, behind Fullmetal Alchemist. The series has more in common with the Read or Dream manga that it was based off of than Read or Die. R.O.D. the TV focuses much momre on the characters than on constant action, but once you reach episode 12 it becomes impossible to stop watching.
I've never watched the English dub of the series because the voices are different from those in the OVA, and because when I started watching it the show hadn't been completely released in English. From what I've heard the episodes that were shown on TV were edited horribly and I would never have watched them anyway. If you want this show in its best form, download it and don't watch it on TV.

I saw the dubbed OAV version of Read or Die on Adult Swim, and loved it. I should prolly check Netflix to see if they carry it...

Read or Die was a great OVA, the animation was awesome, the action sequences were silky smooth, and the story line kept me interested, although it was pretty weird. My only problem was that it was too short, you don't get to know any of the characters backgrounds or how any of them got their powers, and there were some plot holes. Other than that, ROD is a fun show as long as you dont think about in to it too much.
