First of all Raito from Death Note is awesome...That's what makes the story so good, he's the main character but he's the evil one. Second of all Keitaro from Love Hina can sometime get annoying n stupid, plus i never really liked Mikoto from Mai Hime...wanted to kick her off the screen most of the times.

Sorry to pick on you, CGY, but can you give a single reason why you hate these characters? I've been on some other anime forums with moderators that would scold posters who give empty responses such as these that do not give explanations.
Anyway, I actually liked Yoh from Shaman King, but mostly from the manga as I've not seen enough of the show on television. I like Yoh because he is what I aspire to be like. He is a slacker but he is also strong and intelligent(in his own way). I really love his lax and seemingly uncaring attitude which closely resembles myself.
A protagonist character I hated or just wasn't fond of was Seras Victoria from Hellsing. She had so much potential in the beginning, but
the most memorable thing about her by the end of the series was that she had large breasts. It's just pathetic how this series had hardly any character development. I found it frustrating that the series seemed to want to focus on her character from the first few episodes but ended up achieving nothing by the end. I also did not understand why she didn't want to become more powerful by drinking her master's blood. She just ended up a pretty weak and pathetic character even thought she did fight a little bit towards the end.

Sure. I hate Yoh because I don't like Shaman King, and same goes for My-Hime. I hate that guy from Saiyuki is because he always cause trouble for the sanzo party, and he is weak, I mean weaker than Goku, and he is arrogant. |

As for me, the only person that immidiately comes to mind is: Hayase Mitsuki from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Do I have to explain why?  I can't really say why unless I spoil the series. I just felt so sorry for Haruka
Hayase Mitsuki presented herself to be arrogant. Although she implicitly expressed her feelings towards...the main guy, she still played cupid to set up Haruka despite her feelings. Realistic: yes. But, she went out and said to Narumi, "another guy asked me out today, et cetera". No guy wants to hear that! Her personality was really annoying. I found her self-centred and quite unlovable. People only like her because she's "hot"

| Naruto from Naruto. It makes the series dumb downed for one. I rather have Naruto as a secondary character, in the veins of either Neji or Gaara. But the anime, Naruto, is more marketable with some childish loof. |
