Xbox 360 or PS3

the hardware isn't equal at all. the ps3 could run an xbox360 emulator! (well not really, but close)

Well PS3 is using BlueRay for the graphics. DVDs will play very smoothly on the PS3.

As for xbox360, they are said to launch without that good of a DVD player...i think they said they were going to release a mod for it later? ? i could be wrong.

and Toshiba isn't top quality...

Sony can easily make a better quality DVD player. Kind of like what they did with the launch of PS2; at the time of release PS2's DVD player was considered to top of the line. I think that's what the PS3 is aiming for...I highly doubt that Microsoft can beat it because they are already set up for the release date of the XBOX360; so they have to release a mod for the enhanced DVD player.

I pick PS3 cuz it can play Ps2 games. and there are alot of anime games for the PS2, so maybe some more for ps3? but there's gonna be halo 3 for Xbox 360 =(

i'm going for the ps3 basicly cause thier line-up of games seems so much better than the 360..... and also cause i'm a sonyfanboy.

Whichever console is capable of being modded to play burned/copied games, is the console for me.

Apparently the Blue Ray prevents itself from being modded or something like that - Not sure.

Xbox, Ive never really been a PS fan. Though I would like to try it sometime, just can't stand the controllers.

well, they released the prices of the XBOX360.... the backwards compatible one is going to be $399 (I know, so expensive) and the other version is going to be $299

= / I can totally see the PS3 getting an easy $399 market pricing

starigt to it PS3 but i really look forward to the Nintendo reveloution (new Nintendo console) so if it were between those three i would say NR (even if i havnt seen what its graphics and games is like)

Well, the Revolution hasn't released enough information about it's console, so it isn't actually considered a contender at the moment
