Tekken vs. DoA

even though this is irelevent, i'll tell a good DoA anecdote.

My friend Marciano and i were playing at the arcade when we ran a across a DoA tournament. my friend challenged the winner to a match, betting $50 that he could beat the winner and that he would only use the c-pad and one button(he picked the counter button).

The winner, feeling cocky after his victory accepted. I don't quite remember which character he used (because i don't play DoA much) but his character's counter move was a back flip. The tourny winner tried hitting him, but Marciano kept back flipping until he got to the edge. When the guy tried a combo, marciano side-stepped and he fell off the stage.

We walked away laughing our heads off and 50 bucks richer.

doa's gameplay is a bit too shallow so I'm gonna go with Tekken

Well, Tekken characters look so weird. So I say DOA is better.

true, that's the thing about most tekken games. once somebody starts to hit, 80% f the time, they win. DoA i like because the counters prevent that.

Tekken or DoA?
I choose Tekken because of its smoother gameplay

I would go with tekken because there characters are serious but the fights I would like too see would be

Jin vs Ryu
Nina vs tina

I wonder how many of the people that said all DOA is about is the girls have actually sat down and played DOA for awhile.

I have fun playing both, I think the game play in DOA is smoother or more so then tekken 5 from what I remember.

both have bad parts.
tekken 5 = juggle fest to death
DOA = counter of death (my friend basically beats me with using counters)
