How fast can you type?

lol the fastest i have ever reached is 52 Confused

I can type about 365-520 (words or letters I am not sure) per minute. I tested myself a while ago, and my typing skills haven't decreased much, so...

well, let's see, 360 words per minute would be 6 words per second, or, assuming an average word length of 5 letters per word, 30 keystrokes per second. This is the same as the typical framerate on your TV, and would require considerably more mental bandwidth than the average human brain can output, and that's the slow number you listed.

Now, assuming an average word length of 5 letters per word, 360 keystrokes per minute is now only 6 keys per second, and 72 WPM. A decent score, and much more believable than anything over 200.

Story time!
Several years ago when I was like 10-11, my mom bought me this "Mavis Beacon Typing center no. 6". There were games in there that forced you to type quickly and accurately, or else you'd run into tons of squid and get eaten by a shark or get your windshield covered by flies and crash your car and die. So in order to live (they were scary games) I typed accurately and quickly.
and that's six years ago when I became proficient.. so speed's sorta been going up. yeah.

I used to use mavis beacon also, but i got to use it as an elective in highschool, and i only did it for one year. but thanks to that class, i now type with my whole hands.. instead of the two finger typing method i used to use Laughing

I can type around 60 wpm. More if you don't care how accurate all the words are.
