Some of it is great escapist fun, & some of it is an incredible art form. I've been an animation junkie all my life, but have only gotten into anime in the last year or so, & have gone totally off the deep end.

because theres a variety of plots and storylines to suit people. offers better entertainment than the stuff thats on t.v (where i live anyway)

Maybe, because anime has so many genres so there's pretty much something to suit everyones' preference. I find it addicting because anime is a hell of a lot better than most American programming

I have allways liked animation since Saterday-morning cartoons. Anime is just like that, but better. You have this increadable medium in which you can go literally anywhere that can be drawn. And I still get that feeling of...I don't know what it is exactly but I got it Saterday mornings growing up and I get it from anime. Probably the reason why I want to get into creating animation; writing and character designs and such...maybe directing.

Everything about it..the characters, the art, the music, and most importantly the intriguing/off the wall plot lines!

You just kinda get drawn in by the big picture and all the small parts that make it up...I dunno, but that's how I feel! Smile

Because of the freedom in the anime. The can do alot more since it's just drawn and the voice acting since they take it alot more serious in Japan then in the states (Not that all english voices are bad, thinking about David Hayter and most of the cast in Metal Gear Solid series even if it's a game and not an anime). Because Im just drawn to the stories I don't think there are any none animated series that are like anime take Saishu Heiki Kanojo, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Koi Kaze for example or more typical ones like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist to more serious/violent ones like Elfen Lied, Gantz (Haven't seen the anime so don't know how the level of gore is there) I can't say that I've seen any series on tv that can equal something like these. So because it's diffrent from other tv and has alot of variations is another reson. Because Im somewhat of a child and just love the animations.

i like the drawing, the plots, most of them, they show us another world.
somtimes the humor of some anime is really enjoyable XD (Ranma 1/2 is much of fun of the anime i saw)
i dont know when i watched TV the last time(normal programm and this shit)
