There are alot of reasons why anime appeals to me.
1. Creative storylines. Though there are many different kinds of animes and many that fall into the same guidelines and genres, almost every anime has something new to bring to the table. The fact that these storylines are both incredibly deep and incredibly interesting make a huge difference as well.
2. Perfect character models. Animes create characters that are both aestically pleasing and logically sensable to the overall character and storyline. Most character models fit perfectly to the story causing great flow throughout the anime.
3. Great character development. The key to a great anime is their ability to cause the reader strong emotions to the main character and the characters around them. Some characters are made to relate directly to the character while others are made to related to the people that surround the people you actually know in real life.
4. Cliffhangers. Animes know how to make you wait and anticipate the start and end of new episodes. This cause you to itch more and more for new episodes (and dl them as soon as they are released). Its like reading a book that you can't put down.

Overall, its great Smile

I believe that I am addicted to anime not because it helps me escape reality like many may suggest. But simply because it lets me explore the emotions that I cannot feel in the real world. Reality is not as exciting as some of the things in anime, at least not for me. (Some of you who have had wild experiences like being lost in a vast forest fighting for your lives will disagree with me, the average guy)

I think anime is so addictive because it is really a form of control the Japanese govornment has over America! Same with video games! They're trying to take us over with their evil animation and interactive technology!! I don't really care though...it's still freakin' awsome! >_<

i think they are addictive cuz they have situations which you would like to be in but could never happen, and changes your imagination into reality in them.

probably cause it's so dynamic and unique to western animation. Like characters are so different, which comes straight out of the japanese culture and their view on the world. the concepts and plus mecha and ninja are just cool Very Happy

Yes I thnk so. since I started watching eureka seven about two weeks ago I haven't gone a day without watching it. might sound kinda weird, but i really like manga and anime. Anime is very unique and the movies made by miyazachi's movies are very good and are very differnt from any other movie I've seen. I 'm not usre if there are any other movies made lick that that aren't anime like you manga based just movies. one shot like spireted away or howl's moving castle? Well I like anime and I do fins it adiccting. like with books when they getto a really good part they're adiccting. jsut the same as aniem when it gets good you don't wanna stop.
well there is my rant.

Anime is definitely the best animation type I've ever seen. It is known for its distinct character designs and variety of genres. In fact, anime is so popular that one of the best hollywood movies got its inspiration from an anime. The Matrix Trilogy credits Ghost in the Shell as its inspiration. Unlike their american counterparts, anime storylines are diverse and can suit the taste of any age group.
