I think it is just fine ('cos I do collect them myself too ) as long as the hobby hasn't become some kind of obsessive...
*I think it is just like collecting stamp or that sort of things _________________ I don't want to kill you, so you better don't make me do what I hate to do... |

It'll be creepy to have a guy all over a Female anime doll as if his life is depending on him such as that guy from Midori No Hibi...
When a person is under football fever. We'll refer him as eat with ball, sleep with ball, play with ball, bath with ball... just imagine replacing the "Ball" word with "Doll" ^^ |

What kind of guy buys a doll? I think 'action-figure' is a better word for it. |

guess it would be alright, if it was for a collection, either anime or doll collection. i have plenty of girlie figures at home, mostly becuase they only make them as girls. whats wrong with that? i have the biggest collection of gashapon and trading figures in my whole school.
but if the dude was like walking around the street carrying this thing around, and like treating like his own child, thatll be just damn creepy. and if he was like aged say 18-30, and carrying this doll around and talking to it and whatnot, then that is just pure evil. |

I buy plushies rather than figurines...is it creepy that I have a Kero-chan and a Kyo cat toy? I shouldn't think so.
On the other hand if someone bought this "Naru in bathtowel" figurine I see in my local Forbidden Planet (it amuses me, because it's blatently never going to get sold for its £150-ish asking price!), then I would worry for them. Mainly because its a waste of money though, to be honest. Each to their own... _________________
